Nordica Ace vs Atomic Punx

I am looking at both of these skis. I am 5,5 and 130 pounds and i ski primarily park because of the location i am at. I am currently riding Surface Double Time which i like but they are quickly getting trashed as i progress. The only thing i am worried about is the width of these skis compared to my double times. My skis are 90 under foot and i like the stability so will these choices be too thin? I want a ski that is quick and nimble on rails and jumps but i still want to ski outside of the park. I found a great deal on last years Nordica Ace and they looks like fun. The Punx on the other hand i have heard a lot of good things about them. Are there any other skis i should look at? I was also looking at the Surface Auburn. Please leave any other recommendations as i would love to hear some feedback.

ridden both of your choices (owned the Aces) and I can confidently say the Nordicas are way more durable and perform better than the punx. The punx are a lot lighter than the Aces, but at your size, I think you can overcome it pretty fast. Aces will also be alot more stable on rails (jumps I found them about the same, punx may be a bit more stable). Overall both good skis, but I personally hated the ride of the punx and loved the ride of the Nordicas

boring to ride, no snap, dull flex, and they just weren't a fun ski. Not saying they are bad but my personal preference is snappy, poppy skis and they weren't either of those things for me

dont get the ace of spades two of my friends had them and they both broke in 3 months not worth your $$$$$$$$$

3 months is longer than the time ive seen punx break... IMO if you ski hard and can make a pair of skis last 3 months those skis are durable

If I were you I would try to find an old pair of K2 Recoils.

I have the Punx and although I like them, they don’t last that long and already have a few edge cracks/delaming/chipping all within a few months.

To put it in perspective I have been riding the recoils for a more than three seasons and they have zero edge cracks and delaming.

If anything I would buy the ACE’s.

IDK man I've never seen a pair break around me and a lot of rail slayers have them. I thought they were amazing skis and they held up great. Idk what you friend did, but thye mightve just been a lemon. Did he try waranteeing them?
