anyone else do it? im on the school team and i love it, but it isnt shit compared to alpine. im better at skating, but im decent at classic too. its an awesome full body workout, at least skating is, and its just overall fun

I used to, way back in the day. I skied for Junior Nordic. Skate skiing was fun, but I don't do it anymore.

^ But running's cooler. You don't have to wear the tight clothes and you don't have to stay on marked trails. You can just go out and explore while staying in shape.

I have skied on a school nordic team since 8th grade, and I skied before that too, mostly because i didn't have money to downhill ski and no licence to drive anywhere. But now I'm a Junior, have my licence and a job, and plan on downhill skiing every day possible. You can practicly do 360's on the ground with cross country skis because they are so light, but thats about as far as trix go. But have fun.

They're making cross country skis with twin tips. I'm not kidding, either, I saw it in a magazine. They're gonna put parks that are designed like skateparks in some cross country ski areas, and there will be rails and tabletops and stuff.

But it wouldn't be like a park on regular skiis. It would be set up flat like a skate park, where you have to drop in off quarterpipes and stuff to get speed.

i used to nordic up until this year and now i am deciding to quit cause its not all that fun to me anymore. thats all my older brother does is nordic, he is nuts, got like 13th in the nation at JNs for the 15k race or something then he went on to ski for Williams. i would do 3s and stuff off little jumps i have a friend that can do misty 5s on them and i've done a rail on them.

Sometimes I nordic ski when my parents get on my case about being lazy- yet they won't let me go up to the mountain. Ski skating is the goofiest thing in the world. All my dad and I ever do is pick on ski skates. Ahhhahahahaha thinking about that just makes me laugh.

^ive been runner up to you both years, bitch. yeah, rossi has just started making some twin-tip nordic skis. i dont know, they are so narrow and flimsy, plus landing on nordic binding sucks ass. we built a kicker last year and hit it up, but our coach got pissed. it was fun while it lasted

really good work out, i'll do it ocassionally for a work out, but i don't enjoy it that much
