im thinking of buying this frame for my bike

anyone have it of has used it, how is it for riding, how is the suspension and how heavy is the frame

thanks

DC

yea my buddy has it but if you need to ride uphill at all i dont reccomend it, it is really burly and the 888 arnt very fun uphill..

im buying only the frame (with rear suspension)so by weight thats what i mean, how much heaveir is it then a hardtail fram for example

Obviously its going to be much heavier than a hardtail frame with the rear suspension, and usually larger fork.

i know i already have some duels on my front just wondering how much a step the frame is from a hardtail weight wise, like is it a bit heveir ar like way heavier

only thing im changing is the frame

It really depends on what hardtail frame you're talking about. Generally, you'd probably be looking at a 2-4 pound difference if you're moving from a FR hardtail to a DH/FR frame. It's totally worth it though, you can ride so much faster on a full suspension than you can on a HT.

Oh and dorco alines are meh. You ride blue a fair bit I assume? My bike is a perfect blue mtn bike 7.5 inches of rear travel.

Im sure youd be good with a norco, Its fairly heavy I think though

ya im at blue a fair bit

that bike looks indestructable

but ya im just buying a frame, cuz iv uped all the components on my stuff

yeah man, once you ride a cove you never go back. If you go to blue today ill let you take a lap on it. Im going

i would rather have a stinky they ride better and are togher however the kona race bike is good

hahaha a stinky's like 1000 bucks less than the aline,

aline is a way better quality ride, especially if your going for the park edition, and what "Kona race bike" are you talking about? the stab?

I rode an a-line for two days and I thought it was pretty awesome. I would recommend buying the frame. Quite heavy but most DH bikes are. its the only DH bike I've ridden but I am very familiar with mountain bikes.

Kona has shitty bearings. dont even go there. alines from blue mountain are shit piles, dont go there either. go for cove!

my friend used to have the norco team DH. its an alright bike for the price, great if its your first fully.
