Snoqualmie got up to 30 inches for today, but I have finals. Even if I didn't have finals, the roads will be close for I don't know how long. It's not fair.

You are so lucky, i mean it sucks that you can't go, but in CT we've only had 5 inches this whole year.

I was thinking about this today, and I realized that it's actually good that the roads are closed for the day of final. That means no one else can get up there, either, so there will be just as much snow tomorrow and more. But I have another final tomorrow and my skis suck for powder, so it wouldn't work out.

 
blow of snoqualmie and go to stevens they have more snow and more area to ski...or you could stay at snoqualmie and leave the POW at stevens to me

 
ay that sux. i wuz spost to go to snoqualmie for a skool trip today but since everything wuz closed it got cancelled. sux for us huh? but when it opens its gonna be beautiful...

hahaha more area to ski at stevens? thats a good one. Ok I admit you have a better park/pipe and are getting a super pipe next year but Alpental will blow stevens away with its backcountry

yeah.. i have to admit that i was like dying when i skied at alpental with you guys cause stevens has nothing like that unless you go way out of bounds.

Don't complain till you've tried skiing in scotland. The snow only is 35' deep at the top of the mountain and almoist non existant at the bottom. Wlecome to mud & rock skiing

 
i skied in switzerland, and i dont think they know what a snowmaking machoine is. I might have seen one or two, but they depended on nature way to much. There was an icy spot that lasted like the entire week i was there, stupid switz.

 
I dont think we have a single snowmaking machine in washington, atleast i've never seen one here. We depend on all natural snow too

no trust me.. Mission Ridge has one, and they need it.. freaking like last year on patrol we considered ourselves 'Rock Patrol' cause we spent most the time removing rocks, not helping injuries!

ya, there are a few restors in the west that don't need snowmaking. i know sunshine in alberta has no snow guns what-so-ever. Unlike the east coast - where in Ontario we preat much had no natural snow at all this year, and the hill is still open. crazy snowmaking power going on over here.

I know snoqualmie doesnt have any, and i dont think stevens does either. And i know damn sure Baker doesnt have one...we really dont need them

yeah stevens doesn't need or have snow machines. I wish they did though so we could start skiing like 1st of november. Also having all this huge dump is nice right now, about 3 feet across the cascades, but it doesn't do me any good if te damn resort closes in 3 weeks. stupid forest service

yeah but it makes for good jump building when the resort is closed.. one year we were up at stevens on like May 31 building a jump where the half pipe was.. it was so much fun

i was wondering if i could go up after the season ends and build a jump, but if you guys have done it at stevens i'm sure i can. THat sounds really cool considering they have so much snow right now.
