Ha.. So i was at my home resort, Skibowl, and i saw a free demo shack so i went down and they had a bunch of sick bc teles, and i go up to the guy and ask if they have any downhill skis. He goes no we only sell real skis.. I was like wow your gay and walked away, he was baffled.. this reminded me

are tele skis better for powder? because 3 or 4 ski patrollers at my mountain have their hellbents mounted with tele bindings.

I have never done it but I was told by some patrolman that they make traverses really easy and they are fun. I will probably try it some day.
 
first question is why do you not like tele skiers? they dont disrupt you in the park by sitting down in front of a rail or in the tranny of a jump(snowboarders) plus its sooo sick to watch a good teleskier rip a steep line. mad props for those guys, they'r pretty skilled.
 
I can say this from a point of view from a dedicated skier, and it just so happens that i enjoy teleing. (in the park or in the steeps) where ever. Why even make this post, no one does care and i wouldnt expect anyone to care that i tele. What are you trying to say because i just dont get it.

And as long as no one is cramming a teleboot in your face and forcing you to remount with freeheel bindings why should you give a shit? Some freeheelers are just trying to push the sport much in the same way alpine did a few years ago.

wow, i dont know what to say. if you dbags are really hating on tele skiers than you obviously have never skied with someone that kills it on teles. its an entirely different way of looking at skiing and the peeps that know what they are doing are so fun to watch. stop being to closed minded and get out of the park
 
Why is it that some skiers need an aspect of our sport to irrationally hate? When skiboards phase out, you logically jump to the next variation of what we all love...
 
right, like i have the right to hate on people that dont know what the fuck theyre talking about. and if you do hate at least have a reason, not a single one of you ignorant bitches has posted a legit reason why they dont like tele skiers.

ok word to that regards, some people think that because of its deep roots that its the real essence of skiing or whatever, especailly the old timers hold it as elite or whatnot but you get that. your right man who cares i forsure dont.

most "newschool" freeheelers dont feel like that man, just trying to ski hard and have fun.
 
well at least you gave some reasons. sorry you think it looks gay just becuase most freeheelers arnt thugged out with full on oakly suits and no poles or whatever. i live mid mountain with about 20 skiers and the handfull of tele skiers here are the most dedicated skiers/mountaineers ive ever met. personally ive tried teleing a couple times and have found that the boots are 20 times mroe comforatable and i thought the challenge of learning an entirely different style of skiing was an awesome experience. once again, stop being close minded. and grow up.
 
well son, the grow up part was directed more to all of the people hating on teles, no just you. your posts were pretty "grown up" if thats what you wanna hear

I don't hate telemarkers, and in fact I respect them since I assume it's very difficult like others have said.

I don't think you have to try everything to be open minded. but I'm just not interested in trying it.. for various reasons. I'm pretty good at alpine skiing and I enjoy it, so I will stick to that for now. who knows, though.

also, my friends would laugh at me
 
UH, i think it sucks, I teled for 2 and a half years, why would you make skiing harder and less fun than it needs to be.
