Noodly Skis?

Alright, so I recently went to a ski shop and noticed that many skis out their are much too stiff for what I want in a ski. I flexed the Atomic Punx, the Line Masterminds and Afterbangs, and the Armada T-halls, but all of them were too stiff for what I wanted, seeing how I want to a ski that will be soft for a 115 pound kid that hits jibs. I would like it to have a symmetrical flex, and come in a length someone who is 5'4" could handle. And it would be good if they had a symmetrical shape and were softer than the Volkl Ledges, which I had last year but were way too stiff in the tail and a little to stiff in the nose. Thanks alot, and as always, +++K for help.

get a pair of old invaders, its exactly what you are looking for. if you are mainly hitting jibs and not jumps 161 invaders should be perfect

you could try salomon 2012's there pretty flexy and come in a 163 which would work great if your 5'4. they also have some rocker so it would be fun to try something new if your looking for a ski like that.

my t-halls are very flexy the white with black lines that make a lion on top and a king on the back. i did a handstand frontflip on them and they dug into the snow and didnt pop off and they bend 90 degrees backwards and didnt break or evan damage it. theyre very buttery

Yeah, I definitely want a pair of either these or da'nollies, I can't find a pair of the 08/09 invaders though, I'm not really a fan of the mexican wrestler graphics... +++K for the help guys, and is the da'nollie as soft as the invader or softer than the ledges?

Really? I've tried the anthems and they were a little too stiff and a bit too heavy, I think I might just stick with the invaders, but I always thought that the Da'nollies were pretty soft

Yea almost all those skis that you picked off the wall have a very stiff flex pattern.

If you can find a set of old anthems anywhere i would suggest that you pick those up. I think they would be perfect for ya. its a shame they don't make them anymore

try and find some k2 disorderlys. I have them and am like 125 lbs (at 18 years old too) and they're soft, softer than my brothers chronics. And from what i remember softer than ar6's.

Are you a fucking pussy. Those skis that you listed are the four softest ones that the shop I work at carries. The punx may be the softest ski that I have ever flexed.

No, I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but I am not, in fact, a cat. I understand that these skis are very soft, but they are not as soft as I would like, hence the statement "too stiff", not implying that these skis are not soft, for they all are, but that I would prefer something softer. Perhaps I should've used the term "not soft enough", for I understand that the term "too stiff" when reffering to the softest park skis may tend to solicitite hate. I am sorry for offending you, I will try not to in the future. Thank you for the help. All I am looking for is a ski that is softer in both the nose and tail than the Volkl Ledges, and preferably has a symmetrical shape and flex. I hope this clears things up.

I am sorry for overreacting. Realistically though I have not come into contact with a ski softer than the punx.

Why do you want them so soft anyways?

Oh I know what you shoulld look at, the K2 press or if you can find it, the Fujative. I never skied them but apparently the Fujatives were straight up jello and the presses are based on them. So they're probably not gonna be as soft but once you break them in you'll be good.

Haha, no problem man, it happens to everyone. I suppose I want a skis that's so soft basically because, since I'm a lighter kid, I could butter, nose and tail press, and do little frontflips and such a little easier. I guess I'm not looking for a complete noodle, but since I'm a lighter kid, I do like a ski that I can control and flex with more ease than I could with the ledge. Specifically, the tails of the ledges were way too stiff, especially for me, and if the nose were to soften up a tiny bit and the tails the same flex as the nose, than that would be the skis I would want.

I have also been looking for those, but I'm not sure if I could find a pair of them in decent shape. Are the da'nollies softer than the ledges though?

you have already been told da'nollies are not soft. stop asking. afterbangs are deceptive. they feel stiff when you flex them by hand, but they feel completely different on snow. stiff underfoot, noodle tip and tail. if that doesnt matter: invaders. nothing else is softer than the skis you mentioned.

Lol stiff? those are some of the softest skis on the market.... jesus people get some muscles or learn to flex a ski

I do know how to flex a ski... I would just like something that I could really flex, me flexing the punx is probably like you flexing the suspects.

get the 2006 invaders which have a foam core which will be super soft good graphics too-->http://theoutdoorgearshop.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_copy_of_Line_Invader_Ski.html

if you can find them, get Atomic Urban Punx. I reckon they were softer than Invaders.

Yeah, I'm looking for those ones the most. I really only want a ski that's softer than the ledges in both the nose and tail with a symmetrical shape and flex. I know i've kept on asking about the da'nollies, but can anybody say whether or not they are softer than the ledges?

Those would be perfect If I were a few inches taller, thanks alot for the post though, +K. And I'm not sure why, but I have been basing the flex of a ski on how I flex them by hand, which I now realize is why I thought every soft ski is stiffer than it actually is, seeing as that doesn't flex the entire ski, but rather the base. Would the Atomic Punx be softer than the ledges. Also, the reason why I keep on asking about the da'nollies is because I could get a good deal on them, and I just want to know how much softer they would be than the volkl ledges. Thanks alot!

you'll grow. don't be a weeny.

and da nollies are quite soft in my opinion, but you seem to want something with a core made from recycled rubber bands.

Haha, I don't want that much snap in a ski. I'm just looking for something that'll be softer than the Volkl ledges in the nose and tail that'll have a symmetrical shape and flex. Does Atomic measure smaller though?

Haha, thanks for all of the help man,10/10 K. Can anyone tell me whether or not the da'nollies are softer than the ledges?

I think it depends on what year of da'nollies you get. The originals were super soft and since then i think they've stiffened them.

If you can find some 07-08 T-halls they might work too.

Exactly. I find it incredibly hard to believe that punx and t-halls would be too stiff. If thats honestly true, you should find a used pair (as in way broken in) of old invaders. Even then those might be 'too stiff' for you.

anthems are too stiff? are you kidding me? you cant tell how flexy a ski is unless you ski it. because over time they will get worked out and get more flexy. anthems are one of the softest skis out there. they have the exact same flex if not more than the anthems. and there is also no underboot flex because of butter zones which is good for you. also the anthems are better than the invaders because the width of the ski is so much more which makes it a lot easier for you to stomp tricks

Thank you for letting me know, but, as I said earlier, I have already figured that out haha. And are the 09/10 Icelantics going to be soft, I don't think I could find a pair of 08/09. Thanks, and like I said, I just want a ski that is softer than the volkl ledge in both the nose and tail with a symmetrical shape and symmetrical flex. Thanks

Actually, I just found a pair of 08/09 Da'nollies, which were the first year. I know that these are the softest, but do they have a symmetrical flex?

Yes, they do have a symmetrical flex. The da'nollies have a really cool flex in the tail that kindof cushions landings untill a point, and then it pops you up on backseat landings.
