Noodle Skis, Stiff Boards or something in between?

Hey NS fam.

After living with the K2 press for 3 years now and having a bunch of delams, I'm looking into buying a new ski. I'm 200lb's around 6,3 and a type 3 skier. Starting to learn park and want a ski that will be able to do that for me as well as ski groomed stuff at mach 10. Also a ski instructor so should be able to get some prodeals. I have a few skis in mind but want to know whether I should go for a softer ski or something stiffer. Rn I'm having pressing and buttering the press's and since I'm still learning park probably would be a better idea to go softer than stiffer. Think about On3p Magnus or 98's, Armada ARV 96's or the JSKIS All Play. Give me some suggestions please, haven't bought many freestyle skis!

You're a pretty big guy so I would tend towards at least a medium stiff ski if I were you. It really comes down to preference though and what you want to do.

I would shy away from complete noodles like the whip it though. Stiffer skis tend to be more fun to haul ass on too.

Don't be scared to ski some skinnier skis too. If you're just learning it's nice to have smaller, lighter skis to whip around. The more you learn, the more you'll have an idea of what you really want to do in the park and what ski is best for you.

I would say a good starting point is something light, not super soft, and cheap. If you get into park, you'll end up going through a fair amount of skis and have the option to try different skis as they all end up breaking at some point. Also, you may not like the first pair of park planks you'll buy.
 
If you think you want a soft ski, get a soft ski. Although, I find that if a ski is too soft, it's harder to butter, but what do I know.
