Non Instagram reels (regular videos) limited to 15 seconds

I re downloaded the gram today after a little break to find some bullshit. If you upload a video over 1 min you know how it says “keep watching” once the play time hits 1 min? Yeah well now if you upload a video that’s not a reel, that “keep watching” message comes up after only 15 seconds of video play time. Reels will not prompt this, and will continue playing to their maximum time. Basically Instagram is funneling video content to be all reels.

as if the worlds attention span wasn’t short enough, this will deter a lot of views for people that upload anything somewhat substantial to the gram now. The days of gram edits that aren’t reels are over ladies and gents.

Tdlr/ don’t upload anything even somewhat legit to the gram anymore, put it here and on YouTube. If ur gram clips were throwaways that you uploaded into a little piece, they’re gonna have to be that much less legit of clips to be worthy of posting. Unless you like vertical vids tacky music and the reel format, then knock ur socks off.

Instagram is a fucking joke.

petitioning for the Slapp app to make a comeback, it was a legit skiing social media made by the [tag=219876]@SLVSH[/tag] boys a few years back.

Instagram is an advertising platform, I get an ad every like 3 stories now, I use it less and less every day.
 
Damn fuck insta. I honestly really liked posting lil 2 pieces and iphone edits on the gram, and especially posts for YouTube cuts. Sad day

Absolutely spot on here. It’s borderline painful tbh. Could be a long shot but do you think NS will ever refine the video setup to auto play videos instead of clicking on them to open the player? Maybe it sounds stupid but I think that little move could get a lot more people scrolling, viewing, and posting video content on here

TBH there is nothing wrong with the system, if 50% of the skiers on insta posted their vids to NS we'd have a poppin ass video section. You dont need auto play to get people to watch content, you need content first.

That was a p weak troll kinda disappointed, most of ur posts give me a good laugh

But you’d be correct kind individual, although that’s not a half shit idea. Like I mentioned before it existed w slapp but I think that app was a bit ahead of it’s time, it couldn’t compete w skiing on insta. Now tho, imo something like that could have a shot

Amen to that. Just an idea, maybe one day it’ll come to fruition. In the mean time hopefully the vid section keeps gaining traction
