Non-ejecting Binding Official Rumor Thread

I've been hearing some rumors from some big insiders in the industry, but apparently there is a new binding being developed that makes sure you never fall. I don't know much but what I've been told is that this binding apparently never ejects, so you'll never be able to fall because of it. Seems like something very useful for application in the back country. Would you guys buy something like this?

i've heard a bit about this two. i wonder how it would work for a park application.. maybe it;ll let you ride out sideways to prevent edge catches

yo i got this one

wheres my money ski industry

finally a product I can stand behind. I hate falling and then having to walk uphill to pick up my ejected skis. I would much rather fall and then get right back up without any of that ejection nonsense. All that time spent chasing skis adds up.

So I started down the hill and immediately pulled my airbag. Because obviously having a balloon coming out of my backpack would have to keep me up and help me get more airtime on my jumps. But I still fell and both skis came off and shot down a tree well. The whole hike down to the lodge I was so pissed. Is my backpack broken??

I think your settings are off a little. If it works right the helium balloons will float at the perfect level above you so that you can ski and move but can't fall because you're being held up, like a puppet

Anytime my skis have fallen off have been because a: my bindings weren't adjusted properly, b: the heelpiece ripped out of the core, or c: it was a gnarly ass fall and the bindings did what they were supposed to.

sounds like the old Marker Comp 30 when set to 30

The fact that his downhill skis snapped like twigs before that binding released scares the shit out of me to this day.

notice what you said, "my skis have fallen off have been because a: my bindings weren't adjusted properly, b: the heelpiece ripped out of the core". You wouldn't of fallen if your bindings never had let loose.

wait you guys dont already do this?

I just drill my boot directly into the skis

pros of this

- never have to worry about leaving your skis or boots behind

-cuts weight

-dont have to worry about mounting skis

-ultimate flex of ski

-imporved aero dynamic

-super core

cons

-none!
