Nollies

i posted this in the trick tip cult but there is no activity in there.. sooo, i would like to learn nollies this year because i think they look sick, so how do you do them? any tips? thanks!

Throw your weight back, use that to thrust (giggles) forward over your tips, bring your knees up and jump off the small contact point that remains in the tips of your ski's, using them like a spring and BAM you did a nollie. It's really not a hard thing to do at all. Just go do one...

it's just an ollie with the front of your ski rather than the back. Focus on flexing the ski to get as much pop out of it as possible, rather than jumping flatfooted and dipping your tips down like 99% of people do.

start with your knees bent and your hands crossed like this O

then throw you weight forward. if you have springy skis this should get you in the position where your tails and back 3/4 of your skis are off the ground. then just kinda lean back into a wheelie if your doing this on the flats, or if your doing this onto a rail rotate onto it like you normally would. also see this video at 1:43

there fun to do once you get them down good luck bro

Nollies are the best!! If you come to a jump, or a cat track, or just on flatground and your too tired to do a spin, flip or butter just do a nollie. Its easy but you still look legit without the stress of working too hard for it. haha DONT DO NOLLIES IN POWDER THOUGH!!! It doesnt work

do people seriously do this? i don't think i've ever done this, it just seems weird. i feel like doing an actually nollie would just be easier

nollies on skis aren't real... make up a new name for them... you cant just go up off flat... regardless it's the same as an ollie but your tips go down first.

pop off the noses. nollies can be done of skis, but rarely are they done properly, most people just pop normally and dip the noses as they go up.

What do you consider an "actual nollie"? Because that's what I call a nollie, just like it is on a skateboard.

uhhh. whut?

to the op. its all about a rolling motion from your heels to your toes (thats what itll feel like at least), then pop.

but make sure you learn real nollies where you actually pop off your nose, not just drop your tips after you pop

just be carefull doing them on sticky snow or you will land on your face when leaning forward for the pop. but yea seriously, skiing isnt skateboarding, you have skis attached to your friken feet so dont over think stuff... do everything like you would do without skis, then advance from there, rather than asking about it from ppl over the internet..
