Nollies vs. one footers, cab 10s vs 180s

Look, so many people on this site are hypocrites. Everyone is always all about doing your own thing on skis, and making it yours, but in the same breath they'll diss Gagnier for doing one foot slides. One footers aren't my favorite trick in the world either, but they are still technically difficult and they give us more options on rails (the number one criticism we always get from snowboarders). According to all these kids, spinning to win is gay while Tanner's style is the only way. Jon and Candide are too tweaked and cold so they suck. This isn't true, and thinking like this will just turn our sport into olympic aerials, only instead of full double fulls or whatever it will be whoever can spin a gorilla, gansta switch 9 inside safety. Don't detract on taking the sport in different directions, even if it isn't your thing. Ski the way you want, and let others ski the way they want, its all good because its all skiing.

yea ill testify again. so logical to do one footers. if rolling never existed there would still be those style tricks. just gives more to do instead of spinning to win.

i'll agree with that. I'm lucky enough to work at an area that doesnt see a whole lot of hating going on in the park, and where the influences are more along the lines of peer presure then how a persons style is. It's fun to see kids mixing it up too, trying different variations of the same trick, whether its croutched or pencil, just cause it's fun. Personally, I can't wait for this weekend when we open up so this season can get underway.

Crooked grinds, one footers, brokens, pretzels ect... are all tricks that not many people are doing. They are alot harder then some people thing, and they are what needs to be happening.

Anyone with a day of trying can 270 and spin around a bunch of times. But its alot diffrent stop your rotation or slide it with one foot. Kids like Tosh are just stoping progression.

working on park crew last year the snowboards allways asked me why i had poles, they though skiing with out poles looked fine.

but yea i totally agree man, hoping around is so played out now. i got a few new slides on the list this year but i just want to know how youd do a crooked.

FREERIDE

if we put limitations on the sport or guidelines then its not really considered FREERIDE, FREERIDE was created for those who wanted to Freely Ride the mountain,

Bump skiers have guidelines, we don't.

hey man.. i think that one footers look stupid thats all...there other three, nollies, 180s and cab 10s are about the sickest tricks you can throw on skis so w/e, this doesnt make too much sense to me.

i like gangniers 1 foot to BS switchup back to 2 feet over a single kink in the Assult teaser...that shit was hot!
