wow atlantaski, this is the first post you have ever made that hasnt made me hate you. good call. In respect to the thread i have thought for the past two weeks about how increadably evil and dumb orginazations like hezbollah are. Instead of doing the simple act of giving back the two prisenors, they made the retarted move of keeping them and further provoking the isrealis. Hezbollah has been the cause of many of the problems (including the current war) that pluage Lebanon today. Many radical muslims are atleast 100 times more hateful and singleminded then even the strongest catholics, and the goal of some sects of Islams (like the popular wahadi) is to set up a new WORLDWIDE Islamic calliphate (kingdom). These people are pure evil who care nothing for their own people or even the ancient religion that they are shiting all over. I support anyone who is involved in helping to destroy Hezbollah, Hammas, Al-Quida, Iran, Syria, and any other radical islamic group.
 
yea it is, tel aviv is full of eastern euro and asian prostitutes...im trying to stay bi partisan in this whole conflict but personal ties with friends keep me closer to israel...Israel should be a model for the rest of the Middle East in regards to their political and economic system, but should allow for a free palestinian state without routine incursions, but at the same time Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and Iran must recognize a viable and sovreign israel

Jews and arabs are the same bloodthirsty religious freaks. They are exactly the same. look at CNN and tell me you see physical differences between jews and arabs. People have been fighiting over that area since time began. Im jerusalem there are churches build on the ruins of mosques that are build on the ruins of temples. The problem here is religion not race or ethnicity.

If there is to be peace in the middle east it has to be accepted that NO religion is valid. Not that one is more valid then the other. For there to be peace all religion must be abolished. (impossible isnt it) If this isnt to happen then there will be violence there forever. Some dumb cunt like Condaleza Rice cant stop it, the US cant stop it noone can.

For now we must accept that there is no solution and stop helping one side (US helping israel with munitions and aid) and hoping that it will kill the other.

Only 3 of these countries are not dominated by Muslim religion. Notice a trend here? The US did not fund these nations from birth. We didn't baby anyone but Israel, and that is why they have all that they have now. Without the UN's help Israel would be just as ignorant as the rest of the Muslim nations, if they even still existed.

Most Muslim kids are born into a shit hole. They don't get a chance to lead good lives. They don't get a chance to go to school and expand their mind. Israel is very lucky that they have been suppourted so efficiently.
 
I wonder how many of those Jewish Nobel winners would be disgusted and offended to see their names put on a list whose sole purpose was to create a "Jews vs. Muslims" comparison...
 
I think Israels sucsess has a lot less to do with America "babying it" and a lot more to do with, its the people. Before Israel was created there were very few jews actualy living in Palestine, when Isreal was created there was a massive migration of Jews there, mostly from rich westren countries, and many of the jews were successful people. So it would make sense that Israel would be a rich westren state, since it was made up of mostly rich westreners. Whereas your list of African countries is inhabited by tribal natives who are, in many countries, at a constant state of civil war. I have always kind of wondered why africa (not blacks, just africa) sucks soooooooo much. Was it colonialism? Is it the white man keeping them down, i dont believe so. I think that the largest problem in africa is how tribal they are, and that they cant stop fighting each other enough to solve thier problems.
 
You know, the more I see of this, the more I want to be Bhuddist. Those guys might have something there, you never hear about them blowing up schools and governmental buildings in the name of their religion.

But in all seriousness, its bullshit to say that one religion breeds extremism. All religions can, its just the nature of some humans to go too far in their beliefs. Take the Westburogh Baptist Church for example. The Oklahoma State Bomber. Extremists occur in every major religion. The reason why there are 'more' muslim extremists now is twofold:

1) Because we now notice them (we didnt really care so much before 9/11, now say Jihad and everyone shits their pants at CNN)

2) Because we fuel thier ideals and thier message with our actions. I'm not saying the US's stance in the world is wrong or right, but a lot of the world currently hates us reguardless.

And finally, in defense of Islam: While Europe was in the dark ages tossing shit around at each other and warring with each other, Muslim culture took off, and developed an incredible amount of technology that the world have never before seen. They made huge advances in Astronomy, Sailing, Medicine and Mathematics. In fact, the books made by Islamic scholars on medicine were the authority up until the 1700's. Islam also founded what we know of as "Scientific Method" today, where experiments were used to sort out theory from fact, which us Europeans couldnt do for hundreds of years. If we wanted to give out prizes for advancement of the human race past the last hundred years, Islam would definently be in the overall top 3 most mentioned religions.

actually angola, congo, etc have some of the worlds most abdundant natural resources with vast diamond and other rare stone reserves along with petroleum and other plants that can be applied for modern industrial use

Chad and Nigeria both have huge petroleum reserves, its a shame that rebals in both countries countinualy destroy pipelines and wells, or else Chad could actualy be able to pay to educate its people and feed them.

Sorry, I wasnt that clear. The entire world used these Islamic Medical texts until the 1700's, which was when European learning and technology finally caught up with the Muslim world's. Every civilization has a golden age, this century's is America's, soon to be China's.

We don't really know who destroyed it, but I was basically saying that it was one of the greatest technologically advanced places at that time in the world that wasn't in Europe.
 
I would be willing to bet that most of those nobel prize winning jews live outside of Israel. Many of the Jewish people I've met are flat out racist against anyone from the middle east. It's kinda rediculous.

muslims are good soccer players. but anyway, im sure the middle east would be alot different if israel was never formed by an outside country. i also bet that if the zionists actually won israel by themselves then middle easterners might have more of a respect for them. lets think of the reason why israel was created, because of extreme christians torturing jews? also, every religion has its extremists. nothing i cant stand more than catholics or mormons trying to convert. alot of muslims in the middle east are opressed, and thats why theres not so much action in the sciences and stuff. im sure there are plenty of genius minds there, they just cant be put to work. if they are free, more advances will come. look at china. now with more freedom for jobs and the right to pursue a career in what you desire, more and more advances are coming.

i think that time plays a big role in this too. christianity was around for 600 more years than islam. so lets subtract 600 years from present day. scientifically, muslims were way ahead of the christian world in the year 1400. then with the falling of the catholic church, greater advances were made and eventually we have the world today. its because of life being more secular. while dominated by the church, europe was in the ditch. now its the same thing for islamic countries. they are dominated by religion, and that is keeping some of them from the modern world. but in secular countries, muslims thrive. you can practice your religion and thrive, but when dominated by a religious state, that makes it harder.

The civil wars broke out because the borders of African countries were made by the "white man" as you so elonquently put it. Of course, the borders were created with utter disregard for the native populations and their conflicts that preceded and superceded the colonialists.

Still, Africans endure imperialism from organizations such as the IMF, which economically terrorizes the underdeveloped countries by imposing policies that are not necessarily beneficial to the countries and their populations: deregulate volatile financial markets to allow western (hot) money to flow in and destabilize the weak economy only to extract the money at any time and cause even more havoc.
