No Windells For Me

Go to windells. Don't let your parents ruin something like that.

If you made enough money to go there, you must have a job, so go to windells, then move in with an older friend who has there own place for a month or two give them some extra cash and they'll be stoked, then go back to school and move back in with your parents. Do well in school and your parents cant say shit, cus you have a job, and have proven that you are independent enough that you don't need them making your decisions for you anymore.
 
This. I'm still in high school (going into senior year) and my parents are the same. If I do poorly on a test, or assignment, or anything school related, I can guarantee I won't be allowed to ski that weekend. My parents are extremely strict about grades, yet I get nothing in return for having a 3.9 GPA. This is not supposed to be some sort of claim, because I hate working hard in school. It's boring, for the most part, but I understand why my parents want me to strive for high academic achievements.

Although I do have sympathy for you, you should have tried a little bit harder in school. If you legitimately tried as hard as possible and still got a C+, you should explain that to your parents, and I bet everything in the world that they will let you go. The problem is probably not that you're "stupid" because I'm sure you're not, but merely the laziness and procrastination that's rampant in high school.

So good luck, and I'm extremely jealous of everyone who gets to go to Windells. I'll see you guys this summer in the public park.
 
i couldn't go to camp of champions last summer because i broke my elbow 6 days before i was gonna leave. i got a refund on everything, you should be able to as well. if nothing else, you'll be a better skier when you go next year and will learn more.

Social Studies : 53%

I swear to god parents these days are fucking retarded. Why would they make you go to summer school? That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard. You should not get punished for doing bad, unless you just don't give a shit. If you tried and got a bad grade, then your parents should encourage you to do better next time. The only reason I get good grades is because I want to. There are no rewards or punishments from my parents.
 
You're probably in the 5th grade. When you get to high school with the big kids, you'll learn that you CAN NOT GRADUATE with a single F. And Ds won't get you further than community college.
 
Since when are you allowed to go to summer school with a C+? At my school you were only allowed summer school if you had an F for the semester.
 
wtf ur parents are gay your going into your junior year and your parents are bugging out over a grade and on top of that you passed with above a D which means around a 70. Damn and on top of getting mad they are making you go to summer school? hahahaha I would tell them to fuck off and take the dildos out of their assholes
 
i have a legit chance of playing football at a D1 college though. Not like Alabama or anything but still...

50 - 56% = C-

56 - 67% = C

67% - 73% = C+

73% - 86% = B

86% - 100% = A

That would be a tough decision, as much as windells would be sick it would only be for a week and you would have to miss a full football season for it, i would not be down for that.
 
I'm a bit confused to be honest. Some people on here are basically putting forth 2 contradicting points imo. They are saying "quit bitching at least you have to money to go to windells" And they are also saying " your grades are fine, you don't need good grades." Well I think that if he listens to you and ignores his parents gets shitty grades, he will lose the oppurtunity of having money in the long run. People are just jealous of you... don't listen to them. If you listen to half the people on this site that are saying your grades are fine at Cs and Ds you will end up like them, dead broke and out of work. Do good in school its not that hard.
 
Yeah no shit. I really don't understand. I got like D's-C's and I was way stoked if I ended up with a high C or B. I was so bad at school, it was so hard haha.

this is not true in canada. most of the schools i applied to didnt really care about extra-curriculars. they accept you purely on your marks. if you want some scholarships thats a different story though.
 
What it comes down to is whether or not you enjoy a season of football more than a week at windells.

Honestly, what are the odds that football is going to help you get into college? Are you banking on the thought that you are going to PLAY football for a college team?

If that's what you're thinking, look at it objectively. HONESTLY what are the odds of that?

If you are thinking that just putting down "I played football on my high school team" on your app is going to help you get in, well, you're fooling yourself.
 
That suucks, both of my parents teach at highschools and I got a 60% average last year, they didn't care one bit..
 
i got 2 C+'s but in honors trig and spanish 3

i haven't gotten my report card yet O.o

and to any rich haters, we as kids aren't rich, are parents are and they actually worked to get where they are now

my parents were both POOR growing up and my dad decided to actually do something and went to medical school

HAHAHAHA, I did work the day before or even sometimes 15 mins before class, I'm in all honors and AP classes available and I get a 4.0.
I get whatever the fuck I want, I got to go to Jamaica for 2 weeks now I'm going to Mass for another 2 weeks and then I'll be in hood.
On top of that, my parents bought me brand new skis and we're not even rich!!! Haha all of your lives suck.

I might just be in a bad mood, but you sound like some ignorant, stereotypical kid. Just because someone's parents are rich, that doesn't mean that they are "fucking special", or does it mean that their parents pay for everything. I am blessed to be able to have experienced some amazing things so far in my life. My parent's hard work in their earlier years has given me the opportunity to do things a lot of other people my age couldn't say they have done. But I don't think of myself as "fucking special." I will let you know that I am 100% grateful for everything my parents have given me in my life. And by they way; I may be going to Windell's this year. And I will be paying 100% of the costs.
 
woah you definitely read my post the wrong way. the people i were talking about are the people saying how their parents never bought them a session at windells or whatever like it makes them special or something. if that makes sense. it just seems like everyones trying to make it seem like their life is so hard since their parents dont but stuff for them.
its stupid to get mad at kids cause their parents bought them something expensive.
i know tons of rich kids and tons of poor kids and i think they both usually have it just as hard. the rich kids usually have it alot harder when it comes to parents making them do shit and have less freedom, but they dont have to pay for as much. while poor kids usually dont have as much expected of them and get alot more freedom to do what they want, but they have to earn more of their own stuff. no always the case, but i think it all equals out. so btiching about one or the other is dumb.
