No Windells For Me

So I got my grades today, and since I got a C+ in chemistry, i either have to take summer school for 6 weeks, which conflicts with windells, or not play football junior year. Considering that football may help me get into college, I took the summer school option. And I thought this summer was gonna be sick....

Wait......... So all you had to do was get better than a c+ in chemistry to go to windells.... What the fuck were you doing?

also, c+ doesn't mean you fail... why would u need to go to summerschool?

Kid above me. Dont say things like that. Stop complaining. Ya its too bad for you, but don't try and bring people down by playing the"not as rich as you card", you just come off sounding like a sour kid.Karma for you so learn not to talk like that.

sorry for the dub post, but I wasn't aware of this summer school until today when i got home from a trip. I guess thats a newly madeup punishment for my grade. My parents are pretty strict when it comes to grades. I understand a C+ is pretty shitty, but I didn't think it would warrant killing my summer

why are they making you take chemistry again (am i right?) just because you got a C+? that makes no sense

its a 6 week 2 hours a day of chemistry only. Their explanation was that I obviously didn't learn the material so they want me to know the material. I don't even get college cred or anything

well... are they right or are you just a slacker at school? but damn even a C+ means you learned enough. thats just shitty

i just didn't do some work. I never turned in some assignments which killed me. So I guess the slacker, but I think that's why their punishing me. They know I can do better. I'm confused

You obviously put this on yourself by slacking off at school.

ask your parents if you can log a certain amount of community service hours instead of summer school, it will help you get into a good school waaay more then just having a perfect report card.

who cares if you don't get a college credit? its not going to set you back so fucking go enjoy yourself and stop ruining your life trying to get ahead in school. sounds like your priorities are all fucked up.

I was rockin the incomplete (F) most of this last term because of unfinished posters and assignments. On every unit final, got ~90%, and on exams I killed it. same boat I guess?

didn't follow you on that one...sounds like your saying my priorities are trying hard in school? and thats a problem? I don't have much of a choice

you always got a choice. look your giving up skiing at a REALLY fun camp for what? a slightly more impressive resume that thousands of other kids have and then some? oh wait, don't forget that all important college credit! you're already giving up stuff for crap that doesn't matter in the long run. really, it does not matter. so i guess is what you're saying is that you'd rather give up a possible life time experience for a fucking class that you will only remember because you had to give up windells for it? you're going to be kicking yourself in the balls down the road. i can bet you that.

my parents make my decisions. I can't do anything now. I would give anything for Windells, and they know that.

skiierman does feel bad for you. hes just so used to showing no sympathy that he doesnt fully remember how to express it lol

i totally agree. i didn't do very well at all in highschool, id get like straight c's d's and maybe a b. and the only thing i regret about it is that i cared too much about my grades. i had alot of great experiences, but i could have had many more if i just said fuck it to school.
some people use school to get somewhere in life, and thats great, but its stupid to think its the only way. IMO life experiences are way more important to me, and you learn a shit ton from them. even if you dont learn anything and just have a really good time, it motivates you do more. when i look at all the older people i know its usually the guys who didnt go to college or dropped out who are having a better life.

haha, thats shitty bro. i know my parents are kinda strict on my grades too. i can only have 1 C+ on my report card if i want something.

fuck football unless you are getting in d-1 on scholarship and you know for a fact you are going to play a lot...it's not even that fun skiing is wayyyyy better

I agree with you, but it's his parents choice. That being said, it's incredibly hard for parents these days to grasp the fact that your high school grades don't fucking matter. GPA is a small part of the equation, it's about who you know, how your test scores go, how your interviews go, and what your extracurricular background looks like. That sucks that you can't go to camp, and it sucks even worse that you have to take chem over the summer. The only upside is, you should get an A, because summer classes are impossible to fuck up.

Its hard to find many instances where slacking and laziness in school leads to a better situation later on in life. Hard work and A's in school reflects a good work ethic and cant hurt no matter where you end up.

Instead of not giving a fuck in school, try balancing school and fun. I can guarantee that good grades in school will pay off in some way or another down the road.

if that were true, i only passed some art classes and PE in highschool

it would also mean you could not pass any course at my college because an A is the same gpa as an A+ so they dont bother giving them.

just saying

OP: I completely understand your situation, and am sorry everyone is giving you shit for it. Unfortunately that's apparently what you get on NS for engaging in college preparatory curricula. Hope you can figure out a way to make it work.

haha quit your bitchin and suck it up the world is not gonna end. one day you'll figure out there is more important shit in life than a week long ski trip with a bunch of other retards. in the end it is your fault for not living up to expectations, you knew the consequences of not doing well and you still fucked up i have no sympathy. you should consider yourself lucky to even have the chance to go to windells, i know i never did.

dude what the hell are you thinking?
you have 2 options....
1. take an online summer school class that doesn't interfere with windells...2. don't play football. honestly, think about alll of the kids that are better than you. the chance that you play football in college is going to be soo slim... also you can just take a spring sport like lacrosse. it looks the same on your resume. you won't get accepted into a college because your'e OK at football compared to the rest of the country.
soo the choice is yours my friend. just remember that if you get denied by any colleges, even though you played football, then you will be pissed that you didn't go to windells.
also say its your money and you can do whatever you want with it.
