No triples skiing big air..........................lame

Sammy got hurt half-way through the session going for a triple/double cork 16? That probably influenced them a little.
 
Seriously. If I were competing in that comp I would have cut over to the money booter and hit it in protest.
 
there was a gopro ad that had a follow cam (POV) of the big air jump. comparatively speaking it seemed really really small
 
um...yes it was, did you see how deep bobby and sammy took it? plus torstein did it and didn't take it nearly as far as either of them

i agree with OP, x-games big air was lame, way to much hyping on triples, and then nothing
 
Lost all respect for bobby brown trying to make it the last jump of the comp when he could have easily just gone and made it so that the xgames judges wouldent have to force a second round, and he didnt try a triple, kensworthy could have but he has never landed one and carlson got hurt, i will no longer root for bobby brown
 
I know you're stoked on the sw triple right now, but watching your video and watching xgames, the break jump has WAY more pop at about the same length, i think it woulda been real hard to get it around, even if you chucked it super hard.
 
FUCK X GAMES OFFICIALS LETTING LAME PEOPLE INTO BIG AIR. THEY HYPED THE SHIT OUT OF TRIPLES AND GOT JACKED SHIT
 
Next year they need to build the jump like 15ft taller. That'll obviously give it more loft and will make it look soooooo big on TV.

not really, its just how u throw ur body, but it probably had more to do with sammy getting hurt so no one wanted to risk it
 
Yo Dane is right a triple could have easily been hucked, even tho it wud have been sketchy. bobby and gus threw a few slow, layed out doubles which could have easily been triples if they had tucked em. regardless the jump was shitty and now im kinda pissed.
 
Kinda pissed there was no triple spins also, only 12s and up. At least Mike D understands the anti-spin to win movement, dude just want to see a stylish 1080
 
I have more respect for Bobby because he DIDN'T throw a triple. Had he done one, they probably would have thought all was good and built the same jump next year. Now they'll open their eyes and realize something needs to change.
 
i don't know why you guys complain about brown, he's very good at jumps and he doesn't lack style, he just doesn't have a really unique one like henrik and phil.
 
after they learn how to build a jump that you can actually spin they need to invite riders that can triple and do bigger spin Ex: Tudor and Henshaw. They dont need to have people that are only going to spin under a 10, big air is about progression and they need to have the right people in the event to actually progress the sport.
