No Switch stance in Skiing

I think that technically you're right dude... but I'll still call switch switch and unnatural unnatural... it's not a big deal if it's diffferent than other sports...
 
one of my pro skater friends said that since he is pro he can tell me to tell you to tell your friends not to say things i dont like, or he doesnt like, because i dont have thoughts, thats what he tells me anyways.
 
switch is easier to say than fakie or backwards.

yeah, I agree, fakie is a better term, but I just say switch anyway b/c I'm used to it and when i say fakie half teh people around me don't know what I'm talking about, which is frustrating

if were going by purely literal terms cab and fakie make much less sense than switch.

cab= a taxi

fakie= something that is faux

i actually learned to ski backwards first so i call it switch when i ski forwards, so i just killed your argument

Oh and stop saying the word "skating" when referring to skateboarding, the term is "skateboarding.' If you say "skating" I will instantly assume you're going ice skating. a lot of this stems from the fact that skiers deny skiings relation to rollerblading and rather be related to snowboarding and skateboarding.

calling it switch relates it to boardsports which fakie relates it to rollerblading.

We usually stand facing forward, why don't we call it switch when we're standing the opposite way: backwards. not really. the opposite of a tack is a jibe, not a jib. a jib is a smaller sail, usually found on the bow ahead of the main sail on larger boats. i got the joke tho
