Soo theres no snow in Nz or Australia, and im stuck working and surfing guess its not all bad, but do you think this is gonan be a super shit season ?

this is the last post on the snowpark web page. im meant to be moving to nz in 7 weeks...but south america aparently got a dump of like 5 feet at some resort in argentina last week ? anyone know how good the snow down there is?

Due to unseasonal warm weather conditions at the weekend, Snow Park NZ will not be opening for the season on Wednesday 18 June, as planned. The new opening date will be confirmed once the terrain park is set to go

 
Snowfall warning for NZ resorts issued Monday, 16th June at 20:45 NZ time. A strong SW flow will develop from Sunday. This will bring widespread snow to low levels early next week. Update (Sunday 22 Jun, 1am NZ time): The promising forecast for NZ is unchanged. Some heavy falls to low levels this week.
 
Eh, here in Utah we got a super late start..... Like Normally when they're open and bumping we hadn't had any snow at all yet. It ended up being one of the snowiest seasons in awhile. Epic.

Give it time... it could hit hard soon.
 
here in argenitna the resort like las lenas that are on the north, got dumped, but the last couple of days very extremely windy and everything's blown and freezed,

on the south (bariloche and chapelco) not enough snow yet, it; like they said bout utah it;s starting late but we're optimistic that in july it will be dumping!

I feel super bad for all the shreds who are about to hop on a plane to the south island just to get skunked.

Im sure there will be tons of snow soon enough.
 
We just got 18cms at hutt and its gunna be cool temps for the rest of the week, so snowmaking should kick in soon. I wouldnt call the season a write-off just yet...
 
thers is a whole lotta snow forecast for the next few days.some place reckon like up to a metre over a few days.dunno about that tho.had maybe 5-10s last night but cant tell exact amount.

i been stuck skating an hitting my summer rail.getting depressed here...
 
Any snow before the shortest day is usually a waste of time, I think its mainly the ski areas getting greedy and trying to open early and giving people false expectations. Hopefully the snow over the next couple of days gets things fired up again!
 
take it easy. we hardly ever have snow in June. its meant to snow to ground levels tomorow and then snow throughout the week. we wil get our snow. who cares about australia tho
 
But Aus doesnt even have anything on the forecast

Im already thinking about ditching the season and just saving my money for a flight to Canada :(
 
Just found out its $69 to ride half of front valley at perisher blue on crap man made snow.

What a joke... Im sick of Aus resorts
 
Its all go at Mt.Hutt. Everything except the bottom of the triple was going today and its been good even before this last dump. No complaints here its better than last year at this time
 
I'm down @ Thredbo in about 3.5 weeks..i'll be SO FUCKING PISSED OFF if there is no snow. At the rate its going i'll be drinking all day for a week with a weeks worth of unused lift passes.
 
alot of people care actually.. tard..our parks are alot better than yours .. bar snowpark... NZ's sick but when theres no snow id much rater ski here than at a shitty small reorts there. on a pow day id take nz over oz any time.. but other than snow park .. when theres no pow around and its icy,. nz sucks
 
ahah yeah australia kicks arse!! its so dope and nz resorts are soooo small and damn shity it sucks thats why pros come over to nz in their summer rather than auz!

and no snow park isnt the only park here that kills, cardies have a sick set up this year so do remarks and hutt. you cant judge shit, auzzie ski fields are a hunk of shit and you know it.

fail. although, yeah cardies has definitely stepped it up - (Jossi has helped a shitload with that btw), and snowpark of course, but there is a serious crowding issue at snowpark now.
 
falls creeks parks way better than cardronas.. and so is perishers.

over all when nz has snow its way better... for about 3 days at most resorts..the club fields are sick. and the exeption to the rule there soo sick and so is the remarks.. but as soon as the pows gone. and its icy again .. and you have 4 lifts to ski!! yay! sooo sick.. wethers at perisher theres 50.. i never ski in Aussie any more .. but for you to talk mad shit on something you have no idea about is stupid... Mt hutts park is shit.. soo is cornets, and the remarks well maybe they will step it up this year but its still not nearly as good as perisher or falls...

educate your self.. pros go to nz for one reason!! snowpark.. also club fields kill it. and heli skiing is fun too shoot photos.. but when theres no snow. australia is better. thats why Falls has stylewars. and torstin Hormego stomped the biggest f/s 10 in comp history there. i never said nz was shit.... you just assumed I said that.. but you have proably never been skiing in Australia wethers ive spent 6 winters in nz... and used to ski everyweekend at perisher from the ages of 12 to 16... and been to every victorian resort.. bar buller (which sucks anyways) hotham.. ,falls and perisher are sick end of story.
