No Skiing Streetstyle?

Kinda wack Dew Tour only does streetstyle for snowboarders. Seems like it would be a pretty cool event.
 
its because as a country, USA knows more about snowboarding because the media is more focused at it, thanks to shaun white and his olympic golds the country likes snowboarding. So x games is gonna have that. It would be sick to have a ski streetstyle, but that all on what espn thinks is best.
 
fuck dew tour. its the shaun white tour basically. the live stream was fucked up and showed his final pipe run like 4 times which then allowed me to miss watching womens ski slope finals. dew tour truely blew it this year. i feel bad for everyone in finals that got hurt because of the conditions.
 
snowboarding is always a few years ahead, and the same goes with comps.

I bet in 2 or 3 seasons, there will be a ski streetstyle, just because the freeski scene as a whole is growing exponentially, but the freestyle snowboarding scene is much bigger and gets more recognition so it receives more events.

same thing happened with halfpipe and slopestyle in the olympics and x games.
 
its not just skiing, the snowboarders only got one warm up run before slopestyle finals. We need a big competition like this, except made by skiers and snowboarders, not the fucking television networks. thats not what skiing is about.
 
Yes please, no more competitions where te skiers and riders are just there for the tv companies, but a competition where the tv companies are there for the skiers ad riders, I have a dream....
 
My man Sean Jordan, his fucking second run was cut out of Slopestyle Finals. That's bullshit. I mean, his first run he fell, maybe I actually wanted to see that run.

FUCK THE DEW TOUR THIS YEAR.
 
I'm more bummed that there will be no Killington or Snowbasin stops.

That means the pros are competing in lower level comps (Northface, Aspen open...)

Which means there's less comps for aspiring amateurs
 
Don't worry, with the 2014 Olympics coming, im sure these pesky TV corporations are willing to back out and let skiers run shit.
