the reason im askin this is bc yesterday i was just foolin around with some of my friends and they told me to go without the poles

i did it

and people were staring at me, they usually do, but this time was like craazy staring

so i didnt know if it was

a "what the fuck are u doing" stare

or if it was a "you can rip it" stare

welll i race (YOU GUYS HATE RACERS I KNOW HAHAHA) and so i had to ski wout the poles sometimes for balance practice

but i freeski tooo so its all good

right?

skyskia--- do what you want girl.. if you ski with no poles for a reason then awesome. i doubt you were flying off jumps in the park. you were probably just cruising. so yeah do what you want. besides you;re right it helps your balance which in turn will help you in the park..

good luck and dont worry about comming online and finding out whats cool.. thats the worst thing to do.. be yourself and enjoy skiing.

i broke my wrist a few weeks ago so i went a few runs without em but i just couldn't get into it .. so i skiied with one pole the rest of the trip.. haha, it was really weird.

but anyways when i see someone good with no poles i don't really think twice..

i broke my thumb beginning of last year and luckily for me i was able to bring my pole to the ER and they formed my cast so i could hold my pole haha

If you ride withour poles it shold be becaue you can ski better whithout them...it should just feel better...it takes an effort to make skiing wihtout poles look good

 
yeh, theres this black dude at mammoth and he skis without poles, its kinda weird, but he can only do 3s and stuff, but he goes off that huge kicker at the bottom of main

the only kids i see without them are no good. if you can rock it like that, more power to ya. i can't ski without them and have no desire to learn how to.
