No poles popularity - East Coast vs. West Coast

MIDWESTB owns this... i wanna say most of the hardocre park rats rarely use poles and ive even seen some newbs who have no idea of what ns is go no poles..and these are park skiers.

Oh man. Opening day at Baker there was >10 no pole- rockered skiers. It's huge over here. Every day there's tons, and pow days are no exception. Even last year, before Idea there was a lot of no-polers. But yes I would say the West and specifically the PNW has the greatest no-poles popularity.

HAHA My favortite day 2 years ago was when there were like 70 mph winds at PC...Never laughed so hard in my life. I got blown off the run

i think the midwest is a prime place to drop the poles

on bigger mts you can go outa the park so you need poles but in the midwest its not really worth it to leave the park

idk what im talking about tho since i still use poles

Out west in B.C at Kicking Horse, I've seen one other no poler this year besides the kids that I ski with, and I geuss the only other place where I've seen no polers is Kimberley

i have a rule. 1 foot of fresh or less, no poles, anymore, poles. depends on where i am skiing, and who with.

all the 13-15 year olds are no poles 90% of the time and some of the older guys are no poles. im like 30% no poles and so are alot of people

im vancouver

timberline lodge= 700+ inches of snow this season..

ive seen a lot more no polers at hood than i ever did in killington, vt for two seasons or at big sky, mt
