No poles opinion

i thought we were past this arguement and everyone just started using poles again....
anyways i'm partial, but lean more towards poles i guess, certain people can pull off no poles but most cannot.

Some people can pull off no poles some can't. Andy Mahre would be a good example of someone who can pull off no poles, Sean Decker can pull it off really well too.

ya decker! i never saw him go without at hood but i did get to hear the mickey mouse laugh

See, this is what Im talking about.

Admins delete my threads so that threads like this can mud up the board.

Seriously, how many times do you think this question has been asked here?

SEARCH FUNCTION moron.

Hahaha. Decker is awesome. Definitely one of my favorite skiers. Decker + Nimbus = Best crew in all of skiing. I would love to see that.

I prefer no poles just because it's easier for my to do double grabs without them, and they kindof get in the way sometimes.

The search function huh?

Anyway, I broke one of my poles in the beginning of the season so I skied for a couple weeks before I got new ones. It makes things easier to learn and you get more balance. I usually just go no poles when I am learning a new grab with a spin.

my pole preference is searchbar.

haha yeah i think some can pull it off well and some cant, it really just depends on style and preference

I laugh when I see people skiing park with poles. You're not pole planting or concentrating on making nice turns. You look silly.

searchbar

But since im here i like no poles because i stabbed my self with my pole once when i crashed.

It sucked hard, so no poles

this past season i started riding nopole i learned 3 tricks in almost three months i switched back i got everything i wanted to get this year

no balls is good some days, but other days when that white stuff is really coming down they help a lot.

wait, what?

same, poles are honestly unnatural when i use them now. but they do come in handy when in deep pow so i use them on the days it dumps and by the 3rd run poles feel fine again and i can ski a little better because then using poles is more like "cheating" in a sense, like walking a tightrope without a pole vs using a pole. The best place for no poles is in the trees, you have complete freedom of the hands to push off trees, swing on a limb/rope, and your able to get through tighter spaces with more ease i feel.a lot of extreme sports that are similar to skiing, ridding or balance wise don't use poles and get away with it fine imo. why not skiing is grinding a rail or going of a jump really that different? physics is all the same. its all personal preference.

i completely agree with the statement u made but i just lol'd at these last sentences how they're put next to each other... it kinda reads like "physics is the same, just personal preference" haha

^sry if this is only how i feel but i'm kinda drunk so I'm having fun reading on NS
