No poles is sick!!

No poles in the park is fine whatever you know, but skiing the mountain without poles has to be more difficult
 
a lot of the time i feel like when you watch people go down the hill w/o poles there hands are moving like they have them and i think it looks so gay w/o them. i don't care if the kid is better then me it looks so gay. defiantly use poles in the park. i mean my girlfriend doesn't use poles but she doesn't go in the park so that looks ok
 
thats what im talking about when i said;

"because when you learn with poles you think you need them to ski, specifically the extra weight on your hands makes initiateing turns EASIER..therefore learning how to turn using your body/legs, not your hands makes you a better skiier...you begin to think "out of the box" kind of"

you have to learn to dissociate your arms with turns, it makes your a more balanced and solid skiier in my opinion, pays off when your going mach 9 down a sketch line
 
hey you know what else feels good? moon bounces, but you dont go around doing that in public do you? and when you do its just the sort of thing you dont talk about.
 
If you ski a week without poles your balance gets much better and i think ur style looks much steezeir if thats what ur going for. I wouldnt jsut strait up ski with no poles normaly thou. I also hope u ski at a mountain with no traverses or big flat areas
 
Its awesome to ski without poles. If you can throw your tricks without poles you are a better skier when you put em back in your hands. Whether you like it or not, its a balance issue and is proven to help balance.

You need poles to look good i have no idea why anyone would ski without them.. there is a wicked skier at whistler im mean he is pretty good throw some big shit but ski's with out poles?? it looks a little odd
 
when i ski with no poles i feel naked.

i read this in a signiature once- "skiing with no poles is like having a guy suck ur dick, it feels good till u look down and realize your gay"
 
word jos-in-nz it is tha bomb. Soo much fun. I mean yeah its betterto film with poles but its always sooo fun without.
 
not using poles is when your just starting out and barly pizza turning your way around, its easier with poles cause it makes the turns easier for you, skiing without poles it like playing baseball without a bat, you kinda need it...
 
no poles= gay i can never ski w.o poles and i understand its harder or w,e u say but how do u move on like cross over slopes where its flat or lift lines and they r just apart of me i can never ever take them away so jea and no poles looks so bad like BOOM
 
i have been skiing with out poles the last 2 years! its fuckin dope! like someone else said dont knock it till you try it!!!!! for real..
 
no poles isnt always sick, depends on whos skiing. but id say spong and andy know whats up.

A perfect example of why ns is becoming gay skiing without poles helps your skiing sooo much, becasue the balance is much different. BUt of course all these kids on ns ar eso concerned about how theyll look. ITS SKIING ITS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN WHEN DID EVERYONE FORGET THIS. oh and the kid who made this tread is absolety disgusting at skiing and smooth to boot
 
i tried a couple weeks ago when me and some friends built this booter cause i was tried of carrying them back up the hill, and it was really scary to huck it with no poles.
 
haha well it is at the hill i ski theres alot of times you have to use your poles on flat trails n shit and i cant imagine it w.o poles so yea thats just one small reason
 
no offense to gay people or non-polers, but,

poles are like heterosexuality pills that keep skiing from becoming really gay, where ski blades and other mediums where poles are not included result in extreme gayness, much like AIDS results in death. the only way to not be a queer while desceding hills with empty hands, is to snowboard. so if you dont like poles, okeydokey, but peeps wit poles have mad steez, better balance, you can tell when they are turning if you are behind them. basically, polers are the supreme race.

for me, no poles isn't somethign you do permantly, its just a learnign stge...your balance and skiing fundamentals get waaaaaaaaay better, and then when you pick your poles back up, your steez and balance are dramatically improved.

if you can slide a dfd w/ steez, w/o poles, think of how much sicker itll be wiiiiith poles.

if you can shred the gnar w/o poles, think of how much sicker it'll loook wiiiiiith poles.

no poles make you better
 
YEP! no poles is deffinatly sick... i used to hate pretty hard but i think it looks sick as fuck especially in pipe. for park i think they are good for pushing n shit
