No pipes at RCR

rcr cant make a decent pipe anyways, leave the pipe building to cop, the only way louise could make a good pipe is by completeley changing where they ahve the pipe located
 
That's a dumb thing to say.

They can make a great pipe if they want to.

They own a bloody pipe dragon. They're just not willing to put out the money to have a cat groom it every night.

The rumor has some pretty good sources apparently.

They'll realize how many young locals convince their families to go to Louise for their benefit this year. All of a sudden those young locals won't feel the need to bug their parents to go there.

RCR will learn not to be so damn cheap.

They're already suffering from fewer guests per year and it'll only get worse unless they change their tune.
 
ya they "could" make a good pipe, but where they have had it the last few years is a horrible spot, the run is to steep for a pipe, they need a good run thats not as steep, then they could have a great pipe
 
they had a fuckin sick pipe last year for a while

and cops pipe consistenly sucked nuts it was decent for like a day nothing good can come out of them not making a pipe it would lick balls
 
No no, the steepness isnt the problem. 3 yrs ago when they had it there, it was good for a while. The problem I usually find, mind you this coincides with the steepness, is that it is too narrow and it really gets crazy with that much speed. Plus, the fact they never groom the damn thing. I think the best pipe I ever rode was the one on Whistler that they used for global X games, and it was probably steeper than the lakes. They just built it right. Whatever happened to global X anyway?
 
If they dont build a pipe they are fucking idiots! they are really letting the freestyle scene down by not providing. we have definatly been a large portion of their income and will be into the future. so if the pipe goes what next... i think this is the year that sunshine could step it up and grab louise buisness.
 
do you have any idea how much COPs pipe sucks? Seriously it is so sketchy. Even after cops is freshly cut Louises was beter, except after it got hot one day and the pipe was pure ice.

its all about prefrence, if you like a super under vert pipe, and enjoy decking out... cop is the place to go
 
plus tehy have been working on the cop pipe ground alot, maving a bunch of snow to make it the same slope all the way down
 
Yes, last year it really wasnt anything too good, but the years before that it was fine.
 
They should move the pipe from Louise to Nakiska. And they should teach someone how to use a Zaugg. The walls are all over the place, in and out, under and over.
 
ya, transition was way to close, most of the time the walls are over vert, and its not a nice smooth climb through the wall, its super sharp
 
those rumours are true, they can't afford it, rcr sucks as a company. oh and cops pipe sucked last year to, some idiot fucked up there zaugg first like a quarter way through the season.
 
Actually, if I remember right, it was not necessarily the groomers fault. As I heard, upper managment pushed for an early pipe opening even though the walls were not yet the right size. However, they were still groomed. But yes, they fucked up last year.
 
pipes gone, but they are drastically up grading their parks apparantly. making them quite large
 
yeah thats what i heard hopefully its legit

they told me that they were gonna put music in and signage which i think is kinda lame but better than nothing.
 
i would rather have a better park than a crappy pipe, that would be cool if they got really inovative with rails and have like 2 or 3 huge jumps in a row, cause last year the jump line wasnt to big
 
they should scrap everything and just make one huge jump, not a hip a jump, that way u either make the 220 foot gap or die...my plan rocks
 
fernies pipe is gone. we are under RCR and we lost out pipe a fewyears ago. It sucked ass anyways. you could get about 4-5 good hits off it average.
 
k, louise's pipe was good structurally but the location and maintenance of it sucked my hairy balls. they have a fuckin pipe zauger and the man power to make it good and worth the money but they won't do it.

cop brought back mike tanner and wade coss the two guys that built cop's park (not last year cuz they both left) but the previus years they did. this year the entire park is gonna be insanely good. new features, olympic reg. pipe, and better landings for the jumps...plus the bottom rail set-up they're going with will be changed up every two weeks so theres variety.

cop is going to have the biggest and best pipe in western canada sparing Whistler of course now. you should all stop bitching until you know whats ACTUALLY going on.
 
haha yeah. and they are trying to make one again. i say dont waste the snow and maje it into a quarterpipe or sometihng sick
 
I'm impressed you could actually spot the half pipe. When I first found out the anomaly was supposed to be a half pipe i laughed so hard that I found who was in charge of management that day and shook his hand for his sneeky joke. yeha and louise's pipe was always messed
 
good thing cop isn't gonn abe shitty this year...it was such junj last season because Robbie (the old general manager) wanted the entire park open a.s.a.p. which didn't allow the pipe to have its time to set and be cut at least twice...two of the most important parts of a good pipe.

the pipe won't be open till around christmas this year because of that fact alone at which time its going to fucking kick assss
 
not only the pipe...if only you guys knew what i know about the park...its going to be SO sick all round this year...everythings gonna be a million times better
 
they didn't did it out...they added thousands of truckloads of dirt to the whoel thing to level the grade (grade=slope for those who are dumber than me) and make the wall taller. they extended the pipe up about 30 meters. they also made the second tables landing longer and steeper not to mention a tad wider! also, they made dirt tranny's for the kiddie killers so they won't completely die this year.

the rest will be kept secret among special people that deserve to know
 
definately agreed...and what they're doing with the first table is going to be sooooooooo much better...they're making a short super lippy booter with an almost dirt-jump double like set-up for the landing...its gonna be super sick...
 
I remember when Nakiska had thur pipe. It was sketchy business. It was big and the walls were cut nicely but it was in the shape of a "U", Maybe if it was the same but with more flat at the bottom. But. Gahd you people are picky. Lake Lowsys was decent, it was not as steep as Nakiska's (it was a little vert though). COPs it was alright, wasnt it? Fernie's doesn't count. I remember they shaped it one day and the sun pretty much destroyed it and the other wall got shaded all day so it was harder than hard nipples.
