Good thing because this sport was taking way too much airtime and the ratings in the past few years must have been shit.

Let's say you're watching slopestyle and a few rounds of skicross came on the air, you're likely to stay on ESPN

Watching slopestyle and the Snocross quarter finals, you were likely to go do something else.

And also, the facilities needed for that sport were huge.
 
Those are stupid events, I agree.

I think whats really needed is a slopestyle event on the skicross course.

After skicross is done just reshape some of the features a bit, throw in some boxes/rails, hold a ridiculous, not-serious slopestyle on the last day of X.
 
or merge the two events. so it's basically a slopestyle race where you have to hit a certain number of features through the length of the course and get time bonuses for the tricks you throw.

logistically near-impossible but it would be awesome to watch.
 
Have a slopestyle for sleds. The boxes would be big and stuff and ya...I don't know where I'm going with this.
 
fuck that snowcross is the shit, your gay as hell if you think dudes boosting 110 ft gaps on 400 lb snowmobilles is boring. people getting landed on and all kind of shit happens. but i will agree, speed and style is gay. those are two things that dont mix well. theres a reason why freestyle guys are freestyle and the racers are just racers

Now summer xgames has turned into a joke. Fucking every kind of dirtbike race, best whip, high jump, some other dirt bike race, another dirt bike race

A couple years they barely showed any bmx dirt. At least it got popular somehow and they show it now. That shit was retarded the years they didn't show it. At the time I rode trails almost literally 24/7. from 7 am till whenever everyday, sometimes worked on them late, had night sesh's with fire in the gaps and spent the nights there. Then xgames rolls around and they don;t even show it.

And the fucking announcers, holy fucking god damn shit balls

Foward to fakie 7 that's 2 rotations, fakie to fakie 900 that's 2 and a half rotations, fakie to foward 1080 that's 3 rotations. Obviously if you take off switch or reg your going to land a certain fucking way on a certain spin.

and all this shit, that's the spine ramp as we call it, he hit the 1/4 pipe as we call it, he did a toothpick grind as we call it.

Too bad b3 and other events didn't survive

I can only watch so many heel clicks and can-cans from rednecks before I lose interest. This usually happens after about one jump.
 
I say snowmobilings gotta go!!!!! Can't quite tell whether your talking about ski cross or snowmobiles but here are my thoughts.

Like the ranter up there said its like twelve hours long! And nobody cares about watching it. Its like watching climbing, and most surfing, its really only enjoyable if your super into the sport. And majority of people watching the x games aren't rich enough to own a snowmobile.

And yeah it may be hard what they do but watching tv you want fast paced, technical movement that is clear enough to grasp. Snowmobile racing might be fast paced but it is way to blurry (in a sense) to really be able to focus on anything, especially for like thirty or fourty minutes. And the freestyle is way to slow of movement to enjoy, and not enough variations to be interested.
 
So obviously what they need is a box racing course with some snowmobiles along the course, that why the skiers can box a few jumps while they speed/style their waydown
 
Soon they'll be giving out gold medals for best looking dirt bike, and that contest will take 5 hours.

See who can run and jump over the most snowmobiles for a gold.
 
leave snowmobliing in just make them race down the skicross course it would be crazy watching them try to all fit down that course at the same time huge crashes for sure.......id watch that
 
I would go so far a to say there are more people who would watch snocross/motox than slopestyle skiing/bmx.

I'd rather watch womens slopestyle then see every fucking lap of every fucking round of that snocross shit.

They should get rid of stupid shit like speed and style, how many times can you clap in the air, coolest snowmobile, best hairstyle, and actually do something cool

They got rid of fruitbooting but they spend time doing fucking dirtbike racing, enduro, more dirtbike racing, best whip, high jump. Lo wut
