No more Simon Dumont hate

Told a kid that I coach he'd have to wait a chair because he didnt want to go up with some grom.

The fact that he goes around flaunting that he's rich.

Ever seen him at a camp, coaching? (Not saying that the other pro's who dont coach at camps are pricks, but common, the guy shows up and thinks that he's to good to coach or even ski with the campers)

Those are my contributing points, I can keep going, but theres no point. The examples are in this thread.
 
He acts like he's bigger than everyone else because he has a lot of medals and wins competitions

an example would be JOSS, he was pissy cause America didnt win so he released the edit mo early. I'm sure other teams were pissed they didnt win too but they dont break the rules
 
dumont is so good, just cause he aint the chillest person in some peoples opinion, who fucking cares not everybody is a super chill person 100% of da time, except for me
 
Back to the OP's point, I agree. Simon is really looking well in the trailer (this is Irrelavent, but the trailer looks absolutely mind-blowing!) and I can't wait to see the full film.

Another thing, didn't we all see that Simon isn't all about comps in Illionaire? Sure it wasn't anything spectacular, but he murdered Keystone. Also, I've personally never met Dumont, but he dosn't seem like a horrible guy. Come on guys, don't we all have comebacks to people if they insult us? Sure, saying "I'm rich" seems tacky, but that's probably all that came to mind when someone called him short. And I remember seeing Tom and Chug and some others laughing along with Simon in Chug Life 4. They don't seem to think he's that bad of a guy?

Anyways, I've written an entire paragraph basically backing the guy up haha. Let's just lay off him a bit.

 
all these examples are not first hand until i see a good batch of FIRST HAND exapmles no like oh well my firend had this and this kid said this will i consider my opinion to be altered so please if you have any first hand experiances with dumont enlighten me
 
I have always been a Dumont fan, and most likely always will be. He was one of the first that I looked up to growing up, and his air in the pipe blew my mind away.

 
simon's been killing it for years, from the time a lot of people on this site were still in elementary school, yea hes an asshole but has done more for skiing than almost anyone else in the sport, gotta respect him for that
 
Have you ever seen Hot Tub Time Machine? That bald guy? You know how he was an asshole, but they still hung out with him? That's what Dumont is to Jossi and Colby.
 
Honestly..Simon Dumont has always been one of the top skiers in the world. People on NS need to realize that just because hes a pro doesnt mean hes perfect. Idk anyone on here who wouldnt get upset if they were made fun of in front a huge crowd or if they got screwed over in some event. Grow up newschooles.
Ps: Simon has always been able to slay rails he just doesnt focs on that aspect of skiing as much as others.

Well, your point is valid, you have +k from me, but I also subtracted k because you called me a rich assface. This makes me sadface.

honestly i was on the dumont hatetrain up till i watched transitions and read an article on him in powder, because after that i found mad respect for him.the guy survived a serious heart defect, overcame it, and became the best in his sport. how can you not like him? and whoever said he does nothing for the sport, he started a comp designed to give kids on the east coast more coverage because he knows how hard that can be, how is that not giving back tons to the the sport. also im pretty sure the whole "because im rich" thing is just a joke. besides, we all know he can slay so stop hating, hes a cool guy
 
He talked to me at dumont cup... gave me a fist pump in the lift line... not trying to claim or be gay like that just saying hes a nice guy. All this hate on dumont is from people saying they know him and thinking its cool to hate on dumont. He gets angry when he thinks he deserves better at comps, shows that he cares something not really seen in some other people. He was part of the letter to Jon at joss but honestly it was equally him and tom who leaked the video but in every wallisch thread you dont see people posting " but that dick leaked his joss vid early" Simon throws down hes a nice guy and he is a good role model. not sucking any dick just sticking up for someone who deserves it.
 
This is hilarious everybody calling him an ass or a jerk. You haven't even met him so how the fuck would you even know?

Oh he was pissed at JOSS.. so what if I feel like I did the best and I don't get it, yeah I will be pissed/disappointed to. It's natural human behavior...
 
funny story about dumont at dumont cup is when he was throwing out free stuff and everyone was screaming his name he said "not hating on newschoolers now huh" just thought it was relevant for this thread

all of you need to just stop, he is only human. A human who is skilled in skiing and is able to do good and bad things.

tom says "because i'm rich bitch" right in the beginning, its a joke, and the only thing he (and probably you) could think up after being called short (which is just stupid and im sure he is annoyed by).

ive seen him about 5 seperate times and every time he was an asshole, ive heard him giving kids shit from the chair for not using poles more than once, cutting people in the park like crazy. yelling at kids who were hitting stuff before him etc... he's just a dick and i dont give a shit how good he is it doesnt make up for him being a piece of shit as a person. fuck simon.
 
just gonna point out she was an instructor on a lesson with this kid, he wouldn't let the bar be pulled down because his friend had a backpack on carrying his spare gear as well and didnt want to take it off
 
so let me rephrase this for you.. youve heard of kids who dumont was and asshole to. so how do you know its true? exactly who knows it couldve been some gaper in an air raid suit being a dick and they got confused unless its a first hand experiance you never really know for sure

re-read what you just said. I never said anything about him trying hard, I know he does. Trying hard and being cocky are two, completely different things.
 
alright well then i can respect what your saying way more then

but im not saying dumonts an ass yet.... I need more first hand evidence
