No love for Bibby?

is it just me or does he do he sickest tricks in every comp, or have a rediculous segment, and he still gets no love from anyone? haha most underrated pro

i love bibby and moment

and he probally moved to moment because of the tight skis and alot of ski input

for real, i thought bibby got ripped off in skimatic, he had hands down the best segment but it was only like 30 seconds long.

no, his segment was perfect. i think bibby got ripped at the icer air, switch 9 upside down gets beaten by sammys switch 8 mute he's been doing for the past 3 years.

Bibby def deserved better at Icer....goes to show if u dont have ur mouth wide open and in everybodys face u aint gonna podium......unless of course u ski for salomon, live in Boulder or room w someone from freeskier.....................

as far as 30 second segments go... almost all of that has to do with how much time he spends filming. Bibby doesnt do very many comps, and barely films at all with companies. Dont get me wrong, i think hes rediculous good and i really love his style, i just wish he even gave an attempt and getting more exposure. You gotta put work into your career sometimes.

If he did stomp a switch 8, then I would also prefer it to bibby's sw9. A SWITCH 8 IS SO FUCKING HARD TO STOMPPP

hahahaha^

Bibby is a real sick skier, I give him mad props for all the sick tricks he does. Always killing it.

Are you serious??

Dude, you clearly don't know anyting about Bibby at all. How woulld you know how bibby spends his time? You're wrong anyways cause he's always at comps and putting down segs. 30 second segs?? Do you just not watch plehouse movies??

Don't judge Bibby and insult him in his profession, that's weak.

i really like bibby and his style but at icer i didnt like his sw 9 - it looked way too mogul/arial steeze

yea, im sure he doesnt try to get himself out there at all. OR he could just do whatever everyone else is doing, and make it big because thats how you go pro in skiing. Big ups for actually trying new shit on skis even though no one is giving him recognition for any of it.

I said i totally respect him and love his style, one of my fav skiers, and yes, i have watched plehouse and his segments arent very long. His segment in skimatic looked like it was mostly filmed in 2-3 days. If he's always doing comps, he's nto doing very well in them in particular bc i dont see his name on very many podiums...

Dont insult me, i gave him props, please read posts before you bash.

bibby= sick skier and tight guy.

he is underated though i think i loved his switch 9 at icer and i think he gets underrated at comps

Sometimes skiers want more input or say in the direction of a company. No hate on corperate (they provide a large chunk of money to the industry after all), but bigger isn't always better.

Sure K2 makes ill skis but so do Moment, and he's going to get some love and lots of design input with them.

Plus, he is the shit. All love no homo.

dude props for bibby for that..i mean no offense to moment but its thier first year actualy selling skis at stores and stuff (if i am correct) and bibby hops on with them, this just means bibby is more about being core. i mean it probably takes a little to leave a huge company like k2 to go with a new ski company..props for bibby he is sick!

He's been my favourite major pro for a while. He's got style, and some creativity. His butters off of real jumps are so nice.

I'm not bashing you dude, I'm just saying that the man puts it in hard and deserces respect for that.

i like bibby. hes got a couple good ideas, he is one of the few guys that does different tricks that are technical (and just different for the sake of being different you know?)

If memory serves me right, bibby and margetts tied for last at wsi with the two best runs of the comp. The worst part is half the skiers didnt even recognize some of the tricks that happened in their respective runs.

I saw a picture of laurent favre with no poles and a normal fitting fluro jacket doing a double nose grab on the cover of ns, i guess you gotta do what you gotta do, i hope bibby doesnt.

"midwest_jibber"... you don't know shit about Bibby, and if you did you would take what you said back. The kid blew his shoulder out at the first ski tour last season, but he still competed at almost every major contest this season despite his injuries... he also put together a sement on top of competing all season... Bibby is one of the most talented, creative skiers in the game but has had a couple rough breaks over the last couple years... I have nothing but respect for Josh and if you knew him at all, I'm sure you'd feel the same way.

I would say K2 is the one of, if not the leading company that listens to its riders design ideas. Look at the Hellbent, the Seth, hell even Pep's ski next year from what I've heard about it... Armada, Line, and Moment are right up there as well.

Bibby's a really good skier, I dont think theres any problem with not competing or putting out solid film parts every year, I mean generally pros try to win over the media and audience of a ski film, but it is not completely necessary. Bibbys sooo crazy good at butters and styleyyy shit like that, awesome skier in my opinion

the point im trying make is , if skiing where snowboarding, bibby would easily be in the top 5 in video segments, and like getting paid a shitload. Since skiing pretty much bases everything off of competitions, or companies pay film companies to record certain athletes, bibby pretty much doesnt get any love from any of that shit, even though he has the most unique tricks, and doesnt look like everyone. Notice how most board films, the althete competes here and there (sometimes barely), but still has a strong segment and get more love from that, and the companies back the rider up and fork out more cash for doing sicker and more unique shit.

Thats why i brught up the icer air tricks, watch the video on the front page, pretty much everyone (not hating on the skier by the way) does good looking switch 7, 9, 10's with mute grabs, similiar axis (little corked or bioed), with the exception of a couple riders, and then bibby does a crazy switch 9 all funked out looki really good, and its like the judges are like oh, since that didnt look hard were not gonna awawrd him points to make it into the finals.

I was never bashing K2, I was just pointing out how people automatically assume bigger is better when it comes to ski companies.
