No Helmets

you don't have a bowl on your head. look better without one. more comfortable without one. the only time I would wear a helmet is during urban and in that case maybe a baseball helmet.

they think its cool to not wear one...they feel badass by doin it.. or there just poor as balls! i love my helmet!

for sure. im 20 and have been skiied for 15 or 16 years, and i never wore a helmet until a few seasons ago, cuz it just bothered me. it didnt feel right, i couldnt concentrate on my skiing cuz i was always trying to adjust it. one of my friends overshot a jump by a good 40 feet a few seasons ago, and had to be airlifted to the hospital and was in a coma for 2 weeks, and i've worn a helmet ever since.

usually the main reason people dont use helmets is cuz they think they are annoying but helmets do save your ass

Helmets will save you from most cranial damage though. You may still snap your neck with one on, but it'll save you from concussions and having a ski pole punch into your temporal lobe.

helmets are good for when your doing corks and stuff, but i wear one all the time cuz a kid in my school died doing a rail with no helmet on, and he was a pretty damn good skier

i always wear a helmet and it has saved me many a time. my pops just started wearing one after tearing his acl,mcl and meniscus skiing. it was kinda a wakeup call that even at 48 your still not invincible.

i wear a helmet every day of my skiing life, and have done so since day 1. Once in a while though, when i'm just freeskiing maybe with the fam on the easy runs or during spring skiing once the park is closed, i'll wear a hat, but when i do, i take everything easy-stylin'

I always wear a helmet...I don't understand why anybody would not wear one as long as they are actually doing stuff...I can see not wearing a helmet if you're taking some cruise runs down the whole mountain and have nothing really to worry about but going throught the park all day and doing stuff that could result in landing and hitting your head (on snow or on a rail) you should wear a helmet...

i always wear a helmet and when i look back i owuld have been fucked without one but on the other hand the helmet gives me confidence to try stupid stuff and that gets other prts of my body broken but atleast its not my head

this year i got a little bit sick of my helmet, even though it has saved my ass countless times, but then a few days after i hadn't been using it, some kid hit his head off the snow and i went over to see if he was okay and he was having a seizure. it scared the shit out of me, and now i never go without one

i was wearin a bern baker and i went 900 to flat and sepertaed my shoulder and got a huge concussion

god bless helmets

next year there is there is going to be a beanie from quicksilver that has something like jelly in it. it is always soft and like a normal beanie but when you fall it becomes immedately hard and it protcts very well. it has won one big price at the ISPO in Munic. I think it is pretty good.

helmet?! what will i do with all sick rasta my beanies then??!! ha..nah it's def better to protect your dome... wear helmets kids

helmets are for pussies. they are so gay, i hate wearin it. i only put it on when i am forced to in comps. never done up tho. they are gay. learn to fall without smackin your head on the ground

take it from a kid who spent 3 days in the hospital and couldnt eat for a week because he wasnt wearing a helmet. It sucked cause i was hungry too, but my senses were all messed up cause there was some internal bleeding next to my brain. it sucked ass

none of my mates wear them but yeh the amount of times its totally saved me makes it worthwhile. plus it looks heaps steeze and then when i go ride without one i become the biggest pussy and generally just screw myself up more... so yea for helmet.

I think it has to do with the movies that came out like LSS and Ski Porn (not so much ski porn) but you rarely see them wear helmets. It probably has to do with the effect that they leave on younger skiers.

yeah same. i only started skiing in a hat this season tho. its kinda nice, but when i'm really skiing, helmet.

I've been skiing about 15 years and all of those without a single day wearing a helmet. I am not against them, just never chose to wear one. I do however wear a helmet when mountain biking, even if it's just some urban nonsense riding.

I would probably be dead or a vegetable if i didn't wear mine... i got the tune ups now so it ain't all bad... i really don't mind wearing it... Then again I grew up not being allowed to not wear one
