are there ANY good games for computer? i sure as hell cant find any besides GTA 4. dont say starcraft, please. help me, i need some. i dont have a PS2 and im not planning on getting one, so... help. so gay, sooo gay

if you have 56k dont bother with counter-strike, just go with baldurs gate 2, its a sick game

If you like Ridicules amounts of violence, hilarity and cussing get Postal 2!

If you like futuristic games about war get Mech Warrior 4 (this game is prutty old and it is still one of my favs)

If you like stratigy games (games where you have a birds eye view and you control your numberousunits with your mouse) get Command and Conqer Generals.

if you want a fairly violent first person shooter get Quake 3.

if you want a inovative futueristic 1 person shooter with vehicles and good online play get Tribes 2.

The final Fantasy games are supposed to be good but I HATE them. but if you like that style then give them a try (asside from popular belife they do make them for computer also)

oh and we can't forget about Halo!

yeah, the mods are always free, but you still have to have a legit version of HL, and you cant buy the game used cause someone prolly took the cd key, in which case you cant play online

no, steam DOESNT contain all the files for the engine and stuff, and you DO need a key, when you install cs into your games list it asks you for it. Ive only done it 500 times

oh yeah and i thought of something (sry about the double post) Any type if RPG (if you have half-life, an RPG is mastersword) but they will keep you addicted, and there are so many out there that you can go from one to the other. on i suggest is Thesa Online. Search for it on google

The whole point of steam is that they can shut down the WON servers and load the half-life 2 software onto them. Sooooo, with no WON authentication they can't check for a cd-key. Well actually you do need a cd-key from any of the retail games if you want all the bonus content which sucks ass. And the retail half-life games aren't going to work online after they completely shut down the WON servers so don't bother buying them at all...

I like Day of Defeat the most because it's pretty realistic and the people aren't complete stuck up ass-holes that think they're better than everyone else...

You can just pirate a CD key u kno... didnt have to delete the thing. My suggestion is SWG, and middle earth online is gonna be good when it comes out this summer. Final Fantasy games suck for PC, they don't transfer well from the console.

what did I say, and you cant pirate a cd key for HL, because it uses the cd key to generate a wonid (now steamid) for you, so you need a key that no one has used, and keygens dont work

and enemy territory is a fuckin' sweet game that is FREEEEEEEEEEE!!! it is a mod for return to castle wolfenstine but it is completely stand-alone and free! and America's Army is pretty sweet but you really gotta play for a while to be good at it...
