No Full Tilt Boot Fitters, What Should I do?

I currently use a pair of 2012 Full Tilt Booters that I bought second hand off of a friend. They are MP 28, but since then Full Tilt sizing has changed a little. In my area, there are no Full Tilt dealers anywhere within a reasonable distance. Closest would be over 100 miles away.

I really like the Full Tilt boots I have been using the last few years and want to upgrade to a new pair of Full Tilt boots. I know going to a boot fitter is the number one recommendation, but no place around me can fit me for Full Tilts. Should I get fitted for any boots just to get the sizing right and then order online?

Also: I do a decent amount of park skiing and a decent amount of downhill skiing. I was thinking of upgrading to the classic pros since they are essentially the same as the dropkick pros but with a stiffer tongue for downhill stuff. Any suggestions on which FT boots I should go with? I felt the classic pros were a good hybrid, but I am open to getting a different model.

I’ve never heard of a bootfitter refusing/not able to work on a boot because they’re not an authorized dealer for said brand. Are you saying you already asked around shops/bootfitters closest to you regarding your FTs and were refused?

No, I have not gone with the boot to the shop yet. I was referring to getting my sizing for the boot done.

So, regardless I should go to the fitter with my new boots even if I order online? Is that for molding purposes?

My problem is I worry about getting the wrong size, or not liking the fit of the boot after ordering online. I really like my current FTs so I want to get a new pair but no one around me sells them so I cannot try different models or sizes on. I am stuck ordering online hoping I get a pair that works well for me.

Oh ok I see what you're saying. I'd either make the drive out to the closest FT dealer if you're that serious about sticking with FT (but definitely call ahead and explain your situation to see if they even have any models that may work) or just go to a closer shop and have them fit you in something non-FT that also works.

Ordering online and taking to a shop is a total crapshoot I'd just try and avoid altogether.
