No camber vs. reverse camber (nordica zero)

i want to get a more powder type ski. I ski summit and vail but i dont think i could really justify a reverse camber or rockered ski. I was looking at the nordica zero and was think that maybe it would be my best option. anyone know about the zero and skis with no camber?

ok so first off... I could never fuck with a woman like that, because she wears underwear with dickholes in em! (Silky Johnson, player haters ball)

second, what is so bad about rocker (reverse camber) or other wise? how do you justify going to no camber over rocker?

What do you like to ski most? I tell you what, if you charge super hard down steep stuff, rocker is not going to be the ski... less stable, chatter. but if you get in the trees, and are a regular pow loving resort rider/ bc booter/ bc hike and tour enthusiast, than a rockered or reverse cambered ski would be more suitable than something that runs tip to tail flat in the snow. (thus making it less maneuverable.)

More info needed homes.

I've demoed the zero, sick ski. There's no camber, but it's still very soft, symetrical, so its better for a center mount. I ski kicking horse, so I tested the ski to the steeps with some little hikes and drops. skiing the only powdery snow at the time, i found it handled everything from drops, to steeps and to straight lines. skiing switch was amazing to, never before have i skied an symetrical ski, it definatly helps. I'm 6"1' and 165lbs, I skied the 184 and felt it a little short, but thats my opinion

Just try to demo them out, it's a fun ski, I almost bought it

Such a waste Scott, I cant believe you are so far west and just ski park...

The Zero looks like a sick ski. I havent had a chance to try it, just talked with a rep about it some. For what you want it for it should do fine.

i saw peter olenick rocking thema few weeks ago here at mt. hood. he was throwing 1's an 3's off like a 40ft cornice. the skis seemed sick. thats all the imput i got for ya haha

i know rockered isnt bad, but it would be more worth my money to get a ski that is more versitile

what to say that no camber is more versitile than rockered, i thought it was true. also i am looking at the zero b/c it is symmetrical

"Zero (Side cut 130-104-130)
The Zero is a twin tip ski built for the backcountry, new school skier. In a stark departure from current trends, this ski has no camber; it is completely flat, thus eliminating the dead time when stopping in snow and maximizing performance for high altitude addicts. The Zero has been designed purely to satisfy the needs of Nordica’s athletes who are pushing the limits of progressive skiing. Its symmetrical design allows for performance needed skiing switch with a perfect tip and tail shape to stomp difficult landings in soft snow."

sounds like a pretty kick ass ski to me.
if i had the money and were in the market for a ski like this i'd hop on it pretty quick

shame on nordica for leaving the zero as their only ski above 100mm with a twin tip. you can't really push the limits with a flat tail

In the Newschoolers 08/09 Gear preview for Nordica it says that the zeros are 84 underfoot. So thats pretty fuckin thin to be skiing any powder on.

the zeros look dope, my anthems have no chamber left, so i feel like theyd be similar. makes me kinda excited, because wider is better in my mind.
