No/broken brakes

So when the conditions got shitty here in Michigan the snow got really slow.

So then when i would throw 5s and 7s i would case the hit.

No i dont have a brake on one ski, so i was wondering who else has had this problem?

yeah my just kept on bending, then the pad got lose so i just ripped it off and kicked down the "hammer" thing. is there any rules i should worry about?

You need a leash for the ski that doesn't have a brake. In fact, you want a leash, you don't want to chase a runaway ski. Also, the pad the you step on to disengage the brakes when you put your ski on, thats a heel support as well as a part of the brake. You might find the ski a little looser on your foot and a little less controlled. Just my 2 cents though.I know people who ride without brakes all the time.

last season i broke two brakes and it sucked but rossignol set me up with new bindings to help cover the cost of new stuff.

i've broke two breaks on my dead bolts in a week span. it broke the first time, i had it fixed. i skied on it for two days after and on the second day it broke. so on one ski i'm just rocking one break. still stops so it's all good.

yeah i was riding my friends spks and they had no braks on one side and they would pop off easy its b/c without the brake there is extra room in the binding so its easy to pop off. the brake is made to act as a spacer.
