No brakes

so my brake on one of my skis broke of so i completely dont have brake on it anymore...

until i can get a new pair of bindings or get it fixed, can i get my lift ticket cut if i ski without brake? and if so is there anyways i can ski without it until its fixed without getting my pass cut

 
go to any ski shop and ask if they have an extra brake. its yours and the people around you's safety on the line with that decision. if you have time to ski, you have time to get a new brake
 
Listen to grape juice he is a brake police and when he finds someone without a brake he ducking lurks them. Trust me I know
 
but like the plastic that holds the brake and pressure plate is snapped off the binding, can they fix or get a new brake for that or do i need new bindings, sorry guys dont know much about bindings, dont hate
 
should just need a new break. Get one before you ski. OR make a leash and tie it to your leg, that way you are only putting yourself at risk.
 
depends on the binding. but seriously, don't ski without brakes on the hill. it's not a good time when a ski hits a little girl from behind.

if you really really want to ski, put a strap on it. safety straps are still allowed as an alternative to brakes. but would not recommend skiing park with a ski strapped to you.
 
happened to me yesterday, didn't even know my brake was bend because i wasn't hiking.

OP take your ski into a shop and they can tell you what needs to be replaced be it new brake or new heal piece. New brakes cost like 30$ and it takes about 4 seconds to install. Alternatively you could go to the shop at your hill and see if they could give you a leash (like on snowblades) to use until such times as you can replace your brake.
 
If your in bounds, get brakes. It will save someone from injury. You can buy spares at shops or online. If it were out of bounds or in pow, brakes dont matter much
 
I snapped my pressure plate/brake the other day, and left as soon as it happened. It's not worth the risk of seriously injuring someone to get a few more laps in.
 
some ski shops will give them out for free. i cracked the plastic bottom part and bent the leg so that it wouldn't go down, and went and got a new one before the old was completely demolished, just because its that important
 
I skied without a brake because the shop said they had to order it in and wouldn't come till the next week. I didn't think much about it, but I almost really hurt someone and then I got kicked off of the mountain with no refund. So yeah don't be a dumb ass like I was and just buy a brake as quickly as you can. Or ask a friend if you can borrow an extra pair of skis.
 
I would be more worried about being sued and/or thrown in jail if you were to seriously maim or kill somebody. A brake running free down the hill can pick up serious speed and imagine that going off a jump and hitting somebody right in the face?

You would be completely fucked. Do the smart thing (which I did) and buy 4 backup brakes and just store them in your car. Now when one breaks you just take one from your stash to the ski shop and they'll fix it right there for you.

I don't know why anybody would ski park without backups in their car. They break way too easily.
