Nmu

i wouldn't go for the girls... i went for the skiing and biking... sickest 4.5 years of my life so far... definitely not a party school per say, but the "scene" is cool. Plenty to do, just go.
 
You could go to Michigan Tech and get a better education though. Less girls but better quality. More snow, Bohemia is closer.
 
To go to school or live in da UP you need to enjoy the outdoors because there isn't a lot otherwise. I've seen a lot of kids come up from more developed areas and were miserable because there was nothing to do. Or become an alcoholic.
 
The words "less girls" is an understatement. I got laid all the time at NMU, theres plenty of girls, just gotta know where to find them, plenty of sluts too. Hope my girlfriend doesnt see this....

NMU was an awesome place for my school. I live in Colo. now and Marquette is like a mini CO, cept no mtns. MQT has a pretty sick park, and a really cool vibe and scene.
 
Since I go to tech it is pretty much the rule that I don't like NMU, not that I hate it just have to give more props to tech. You do have a better terrain park then at Ripley that is for sure. But we do get a lot more snow then down there.

If you know how to find the girls at tech you can but yes a lot less. It is a smaller area though.

Marquette is a cool place to go visit and all. But if the resolution gets passed at tech skiing will be included in your tuition which is always nice.
 
nah man, im not hatin on Tech, you guys gotta stick together. Most of the ski crew from tech and nmu are pretty tight. Most of them bike together in the summer too. Youll prolly meet a lot of the mqt ski crew at snocomp, which is a sick event you guys put on every year.
 
i go to tech, don't come here, no girls, too much school, and mt. ripley has no park. at all. they might have a rail or two up but thats it. thank god there is powder or i would become a fullblown alcoholic.
 
Im a freshman at NMU and i would definitely recommend coming here. Its pretty much the best skiing your gonna find in michigan, All the riders are sick and super fun to ski with. And yes there are party's every thursday-saturday. The school is pretty cool too. And everyone thinks the guy to girl ratio is fucked up, but it's definitely 1 to 1.
 
Marquette is a nice hill, not that big or complex but pretty good for michigan. As for the party scene, I don't go to NMU but I know a dozen people who do, most of them seem to think its pretty good, marquette isn't the most exciting city...

...also, NMU has been described as the most STD ridden school in michigan, dont be a fool, wrap your tool
