i bought a new nixon ticket and it says 30 m which i always thought meant waterproof to 30 meters underwater but apperntly in the nixon description on the www.nixonnow.com website it says 30 m is rain drops and stuff but in other site descriptions of the ticket it says your good to go swimming in a pool and stuff. anyone here have a nixon thats 30m and goes swimming with it and stuff? heres the watch

well my friend has the lodown and i think the water rating is somewhere near that. the lodown is made for surfing and being in the water though so idk it might be different

dude, the lowdown is nowhere near the ticket. the lowdown is a pure surfing watch and has mad surfing features like tide gauges and shit. the ticket is designed as a casual watch that looks pimp. don't take it swimming unless you want to ruin a $200 watch. nixon is the shit tho and i'm gonna be buying their stuff for a while.

I have the Rotolog and the scout, both seem to be waterproof, well at least under the shower.

But you right I also don`t get it with this 30 m thing and rainproofness

honestly how would you forget to take off a huge watch when you go into the shower.. it just wouldnt feel right, you would be all naaked and feel free but then there would be this huge watch on your wrists

Its pretty. But if there is a warrenty on it just drop it in some water. If it stops ticking then return it or sue them or contradicting themselfs

if its a matter of forgetting then why does it matter if you know whether or not it's waterproof. if you just forget then you're gonna take it in the shower or swimming regardless of if its safe for the watch.

You wouldn't want to swim with it dude, it's a metal strap it would be absolutely horrible when it's wet. You could shower with it no worries though.

I have an Esquire CS and the Duke and have had both wet and they're fine, Nixon make super burly high quality watches so it will handle the wet without any worries. Probably wouldn't take it in the sea though, salt water doesn't do great things for timepieces.

you can swim with it, i swim with all mine all the time....i forget exactly how it works but 30m watchs you can swim and stuff with and not worry about, but you can't actually take them to 30m

yeah, i looked on ebay most of them were 3 grand then there were a few 11 grand and i saw a 50 grand rolex

i dont know how i could for get about it that just seemed like a good excuse, incase i end up in some sort of situation im not sure what but like im going wakeboarding and i have no where to put it if i should hide it or its safe to wear. i probably wouldn't wear it cause it could break easly wakeboarding i bet

I've got the same watch but mine has a black back to it. I love it to death, but i would never take it swimming. It is water resistant to an extent, but its not made to be a sport watch, this is what i call a "business" watch. It's sick though i love mine

It's water reistant, not waterproof. Don't take it swimming. In the shower will probably be fine. Once or twice.

I just got the Golden Ticket best 300 bucks i spent. 24k gold plated watch amazing i feel like bill clinton with this thing on haha

my buddy has one and i am pretty sure he loves it. i think i am going to look into getting one next year.

i spent 180$ on The Professional and i have had to take it in 4 times to replaced due to the pins that hold the watch to the band coming out. im not impressed at all at the quality of their parts

i have the ticket and if i were you i wouldnt swim with it. There is no casing around the sides between the glass and the main housing = i think water will get in very easily.

yeah thats because there selling them off there^. they stopped making them a year and a half ago because of defects and all the warrantys they were getting on them. i bought mine on sale too. when i first bought it, it wasnt one of their cheapest watches, it was part of the buisiness class one

there's no way you paid $180 unless you got ripped off badly. The professional was always part of coach class. I bought a the Don watch about 4 years ago for $120 and I know it was more than the professional back then.

im in canada and it even says on the 3 different boxes i have, they all say business class. the store i bought it from sells every nixon watch available and i didnt get ripped off. i dont know if you bought yours wholesale off the net or somethin but from a legit store it cost me 180

30m does not mean you can take it to 30m... it's the waterproof rating I think. I'd say don't take it in the pool or the ocean, because of chemicals and salt that would fuck up paint job or joints or something.

ahhh canadian dollars that explains it... whatever all I know is the professional is one of the bottom of the ladder watches for Nixon especially now that they have those sick new swiss made watches. how sick is that ceramic player?

i compared a bunch of websites on that site you linked up higher and they were all at least 60-140$ cheaper then the prices on the nixon watch...so i think thats a wholesale price...

Nixons are sick have you ever tried one. I have a couple and they are great and they're cool with warrenties. You can take it in water by the way

Yeah 30m generally just means splashproof really, i wouldn't swim with it.

I have a leather scout and props to Nixon the stuff is good quality and takes a beating. They make great everyday watches.
