Im selling my Colorado to my brother so I can get something with a little more ground clearance....I was considering the Xtera...anyone have any issues with it? Any legit reviews...I was searching car magazines and stuff but there never was much on long term use and I will likely be buying it used...

Yeah thanks, I saw those...I heard that they have some stupid wiring issues but that a dealer will replace them...

yeah if you are looking w/ the xterra consider a grand cherokee

They have hella good deals on em right now

Some of my friends have Xterras but I like my GC much more.

I don't like the Xtera. Obviously, you do, but i am going to put up some suggestions.

Jeep Cherokee

Subaru Forester

Toyota 4Runner

All are medium-sized SUV's, capable of owning pavement, but they aren't ducks when you take them in the woods.

Im worried about the parts with jeeps going up since chystler was sold to fiat...the suburu's cost a shitton to maintain...I owned a 4 runner and personally felt they're a little squirly...I wanted a Z71 Chev but I will no longer be purchasing GM products ever again...the Ridgeline sucks up too much gas...I felt the last option was the Xtera...

You are still going to get good deals on domestic jeep parts. Will you buying '10 or a few years back?

my parents bought one. i convinced them to get that instead of a BMW X5. The X5 is useless. They were looking at an Audi allroad and a Subaru outback but went with the Xterra for towing capabilites.

But get a newer model for sure. i'm not sure when they redesigned it, but they made 8000x better. The old ones are slow as fuck, the new ones come with a sweet 265hp engine even on the base model. its really quite nice to drive, surprisingly fast. and the base models are pretty cheap and reliable. Only problem with the new Xterras besides gas mileage obviously, is its an extremely tall car so getting bikes and shit off the roof is a pain. And its hard to get in and out of the backseat cause its narrow and high. other than that its a solid car.
