I heard from my dad yesterday that Nissan going to make a electric car. Nissan going to be the only car company that going to be making the electric car. There keeping it on the down low to it comes out. My dad heard this from Public Radio. I know you don't care, but I don't care ever so write what you want. That pretty interesting that Nissan going to be the only company that going to make a electric car.

I read about it last week...plans for a limited production run of a couple hundred in 2010 with plans to expand into mass production shortly thereafter. Fully electric powered.

There is a MASSIVE electric car factory being built in Mexico I believe that will be selling entirely to the US. Or it might be hybrids, all I know is they get around the current law that states cars in the states cannot get 60mpg or better, or be built to get that.

Eletric vehicles tend to hate the cold...battery dies super fast. unless they get better battery packs for production, I wouldn't bank on a 0 emission ski car yet.

What law is this? I thought it had more to do with not being able to acheive such good gas mileage from ineffecient combustion engines? I don't this such a law exists... There would be no reason for it and there would be huge outrage if a law like that did exist.

while this is sweet news how much is the car going to cost and how re-liable will it be and also the maintenece (sp) costs cause thats what gets you... hybrid cars now are really expensive for base price and they die in like 10 years...
