Niseko connecting flight timing with gear

Airline says 2 hours to connect in Haneda to CTS but I'm worried if you have to get your gear and then recheck domestically. It's a code share but originates as a Delta flight before changing to ANA all out of Haneda at least.

Anyone know if they check bags through or if you have to pick up your stuff, clear customs & immigrations, & then check back in?

You will have to collect your gear, pass through customs etc then get a bus to the domestic terminal. In a normal year it would be fine, as moving through the domestic is fast, but even if Japan is open to tourists next winter (currently not very likely) I bet there will be added covid tests or document checks.
