you'd be surprised how many kids have never heard of nirvana, basically most bands today were influenced in some way by them. Nirvana is easily one of the best bands of the 90s, and when people look back on music from 1990-2000 or whatever in say 2020, one of the first bands that will come to their minds will be nirvana.

yea i think they will be looked back at as one of the pest bands from 90's and stuff and they are really good but i wouldnt say they are the best.

they were amazing. im 13 and my bro has exposed me to all this good music. nirvana is awesome and cobain rocks. im sure 90% of the bands these days listened to nirvana at some point.

I wouldn't go as far as you guys say...and you'd be surprised how many bands are around that sound like Nirvana....but....grunge is dead in the mainstream, so there not popular

Nirvana sounds like any other band now, but what they did was change the face of alternative/punk/rock music forever.

Nirvana was revolutionary.

They were first. Think of how many bands they paved the way for. They began the era that Seattle is known for. Kurt Kobain was some kind of god.

Also good and from Seattle (my home): Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains (RIP Layne Staley), Soundgarden, a bunch of others but those are the big names.

Seattle kicks ass.
