I haven't heard music this good in a very long time. I recently started listening to them and cannot stop replaying Come as You Are, and Something in the Way. My hope is that some people can still find their music as genius as I do.

This chick's mom I hang out with smoked with these guys and Anthony Kiedis which is fucking sick. I would burn with these guys any day.

Cool man I don't care. I couldn't care less what the fuck people think about what I do. I didn't even talk about me smoking there buddy.

Why do you care what my name is? chill out man. Its not a big deal. If you are going to talk shit pm me like a man and stop clogging threads.

Glam metal was one of the most embarrassing phases of rock music, pretty much a bunch of dude versions of lady gaga.

I finally bought bleach yesterday completing my collection of nirvana's cd's (minus the collectibles, I can' afford that stuff.) They were definitely a game changer for rock music, it sucks that 90's rock got so diluted and shitty so quickly.

What are you talking about that's when the best band of all time, Creed came along! Nah just kidding they fucking suck.

But yeah Nirvana's good, Dave Grohl has such a rock solid groove.

Kurt Cobain and THE sexiest voice I have ever heard in my life. I literally become weak in the knees.

favorite song of theirs, one of my favorite songs and videos ever. It was released post - suicide, being such it's a strange coincidence how subtly eerie the song itself is. It's like Kurt's swan song... wonder if he knew it, even sub-consciously.

I'm living off of grass

and drippings from the ceiling

and it's ok to eat fish cuz they don't have any feelings

say what you want man, but bands like scorpions, van halen, def leppard, yngwie, europe, whitesnake etc. will always be epic, very technically proficient bands with great songwriters and performances.

I have a huge respect for nirvana and kurt cobain i just don't like to listen to their music, it doesn't really appeal to me. I was just joking around before.

He still has the sexiest voice even though he passed, that has not changed for me. So has is correct. :)

Nirvana basically formed who I am.

I was 13 when nevermind came out, and my teenage years were all spent playing in bands and gigging at shitty bars.

Nirvana was an unbelievable band, one of the best of that generation.

THANK SWEET BABY JESUS THIS THREAD IS SO LONG OVERDUE

I will be chiming in soon once I have more time to make everyone have some nice eargasms.

When I first listened through nevermind, it just sort of clicked, if that makes any sense. It just sounded like the perfect album to little 8 year old me. It really got me into grunge, punk, and alternative for the first time and it's still one of my favorite albums.

their unplugged performance was unreal. this is probably my favorite from that

"You know you're right" is my favourite song with them too. I listened to them a lot when I was in junior high, and they opened my eyes for so much more music that I hadnt been introduced to before, like the Meat Puppets, Pearl Jam and Dinosaur Jr. Also, I have thought Dave Grohl is one of the coolest people on this planet for like my entire post-childhood, his drumming on the qotsa album "Songs for the death" is eargasmic and he seems like such a fucking humble, chill guy eventhough hes one of the most famous guys in the music industry.

Nirvana fucking rule. i don't think they're overrated, but their are far too many stupid teenage girls who run around being like OMG I LOVE KURT COBAIN HES AMAZING BLAH BLAH BLAH who've probably listened to like, 5 of their songs. however, it's easy to ignore that and they are without a doubt one of the greatest bands ever.

i wouldn't say they influenced me as such, but they were one of the first "heavy" bands I got into and Biffy Clyro, one of my favourite bands, probably wouldn't be around if it wasn't for them so i guess they've indirectly influenced me. one of my favourite tracks:

I love Nirvana, ever since I was a child, I've always loved them. Unplugged is in my top 3 albums. I love all 90s music, but Nirvana has a sound of their own.

The best cover song (along with With a Little Help from My Friends done by Joe Cocker, and One More Cup of Coffee done by White Stripes)

Every single bit of this song is amazing

And two of my personal favourites

I have more, but nah.

I love Nirvana, I love what they did, and I can honestly say that Alternative Rock wouldn't be the same with out them.

Sliver is good, otherwise I don't really like them. Too depressing and grungy. I love that scene in The Wrestler where they're making fun of nirvana and grunge music
