We are an Australian born clothing company… but wait… we aren’t just a “great,

another tall clothing company” type of company, we are bringing something

different to the table! We are operating a fully rider driven program, with

some of the sickest riders that have been blowing up all over Newschoolers!! We

are also doing something different with our garments. Everything is MADE for

shredding in, with many of the features you would expect from technical

apparel. From zippered air vents, to plastic pass holders, our heavyweight garments

are genuinely made for riding in!

Not just any tall t company, one of the best and affordable ski clothing companies out there! Def get the most bang for your buck
 
Not to hate or anything but what exactly are you guys doing different? The only thing I notice is that you guys don't actually have the product yet.
 
^ haha all good dude! Check out the 'About Us' section on the website for some more info on what we are doing slightly differently - garment features, and the way we are running as a company! It sucks we don't have the product, but some pics of the initial samples will be up in the next day or two!!
 
wow, im stoked on this. i feel like this is the first new apparel company ive seen that isnt trying to sell their shit for a ridiculous sum.
 
Matt is really straight up guys - legit company with legit products! And the price is right for the quality/features of the gear

There is absolutely no way a crew will cost $80 to ship to Vermont, I can assure you of that!! It was late here in Australia last night when we launched everything, and I have just woken up this morning!! I will get this fixed straight away!!

Sorry for the misleading info, I'm not quite sure why the store is doing that!!!!
 
looks cool but 2 things:

1) not sure it's a great idea to 'launch' before you have any product to sell. make sure your house is in order before you start putting product out there and taking people's money. just advice, all i'm saying...

2) directed as NS not nine22- since when is it legit for companies to advertise/spam in the forums? i mean i know this is a cool startup and all but where do you drraw the line? would it be legit for salomon to et a sticky promoting their product?
 
^ For sure man, we hear ya!!! Believe me it was discussed for a long time as to whether or not we would 'launch' without the bulk order in stock. We felt that if people really wanted something, then we would give them an opportunity to place a pre-order, and that is why we have only put a couple of each up rather than what will be our whole stock! We have seen samples and we are sure that everything is going to come out very nice! However, as mentioned on the website, if there is any issues with anything, we will ensure we sort it out immediately!!

On the second note, once you pay for advertising with newschoolers, the rad people behind it do little things like that to help out smaller companies such as us. This post will just be stickied for a week so you guys can get a little info on what's up. I think it is awesome that the crew at NS are doing their best to assist smaller companies, and to get some flavour from all over the world up on the site!!

Cheers for all the love and interested people!! Certainly some kinks still to iron out, no doubt, but we were just too stoked to show you what was going on to hold it back much longer!!
 
so i read your about us and there is nothing different about it. You have a really touching story, promises, etc. I am sorry but i completely agree with jason on this. I find it disgusting how the red's love to bend their own rules.

Another clothing company like you did this same exact thing in october/november making their thread and hyping the fuck out of themselves saying how they were all special and burned themselves hard. Near identical situation. You guys seem to have your mouth sucking the right D right now so have fun while it lasts.
 
Good job on the anti-fizz and froth blocking.

I've worn the samples and have seen the quality first hand, and can assure you that it's of the highest quality. If you knew the people involved (in the slightest!) you'd realise that they are very genuine, down to earth, cats. The fact that the website, promo video and everything else that has come out so far has been very professionally done.

Touching stories and promises aside, if you don't like the product, don't support it and keep it moving. Plenty of people who will be getting there bean fizzing over it.

This is not a flash in the pan people. It's a movement.

There is nothing in your post that is worth addressing because it has already been said a billion times by a billion different companies. Did i threaten those guys? Did i say they were fakes? I see how you want your boys to succeed but this revolutionary business model is nothing short of generic and has been done before. Everybody these days uses top of the line materials. Everybody makes edits. Everybody is a chill core group of guys. Everybody has a well made website. i will reiterate: this glitz is the bare minimum to make it these days. companies with this strategy are a dime a dozen on here.

There still isn't a wow factor that we've never seen before to make this company awesome. i would like a company i was able to recognize their actions and be like this is cool instead of the company trying to tell me they are going to do this... Actions speak louder than words. Where are these actions? I've only seen words.

 
dude your speculating from the past, you can't trash talk a new company and make assumptions. Nine22 is rider driven and practically rider owned company. Matt has worked with his riders and took their ideas in order to make the best product, I get many emails from him and the riders as we all share our ideas about how to make the clothing and what to do to make this a "different" clothing company. Matt literally let the riders choose the color scheme for the product and let the riders put their input into the products. The love for skiing and getting people excited for their product is their goal, not making a ton of money. If you don't believe it now you will soon enough. Everyone should be stoked about Nine22 and we'll let the riders and clothing do the talking as the season progresses.

You can absolutely take it of leave it dude, I'm not trying to force it on you in anyway. Maybe I pushed the 'somthing different' a little too much, but check up on the garment features. Sorry if it got you twisted man, we are just a little excited!!
 
well that just makes no sense...

please explain to me how jiberish was formed? jiberish is a crew of extremely elite riders and artists all focused on making a unique style of clothing. nine22 is a crew of extremely elite riders as well (just not as well known... yet) all focused on the same thing.

i've been talking to matty, he seems extremely chill, cool, you name it. please don't hate on this company until you've even seen any of their stuff come out. there are always going to be skeptics about everything, but maybe you need to open your eyes just a tad and realize what is happening here.

i'm just trying to be as unbiased as possible and point out what you have said. sure there have been other tall clothing companies in addition to the myriad of kids custom making hoodies in B/S/T, but don't jump the gun and call these guys out, their website hasn't even been up for 24 hours.

No, you didn't threaten the guys, or say they were fakes, but you seemed to take a pretty negative approach to the product, and the promotion. I can't comment on what others have or haven't done, as I honestly don't know... so if that is your viewpoint and you've got the evidence to back it up (which you seem to suggest you do) then fair enough.

The promotion said, they wanted to bring something different, I didn't catch the part where it was promoted as a "revolutionary

business model". They are rider-driven as the other guys above me have said, and will constantly be evolving their designs and products in line with what the sponsored riders, as well as the general public, want. These guys will be shredding in the gear that they are making day in, day out - so I'd be fairly confident in saying they are going to keep it pretty innovative as things move along.

I assure you the actions will follow soon, and loudly.

 
chill out dudes. I can see where this could come across as just another high school kid with a sewing machine, due to the fact that there are not pictures of actual goods. But you all know that the dudes at newschoolers run a tight ship, and are dedicated to the credibility of the site. You would assume that if they thought it was appropriate to let these guys have a sticky thread like this, the company is legit. Instead of bashing them for "spamming", which is complete bs, trust that the people in charge of the site know what they are doing and judge the company on their product and mission; not the method that they launch their shit.

Good work on the negativity, truly kudos to you. But don't you think your getting a little ahead of yourself? Actions speak louder than words? What are you expecting from a company that is so young? 24 hours may be a long time in your world but in mine you can't change the world in that amount of time. You seem to be pretty interested in dragging a new company down after past disappointments from companies that have completely different people involve. Why be so quick to hate?

Oh and no I'm not Nine 22 with a name change either, haha

I am so bummed I am hurting for cash right now or I would be grabbing a crew without a doubt.

Word nine 22 loving your work! sick crew of riders.... Tom Costa was Tanner Halls guide in Believe sick big mountain shreda! Mac Taylor has styles for miles one of the sickest kids to shred with always looking at things differently and coming up with sick lines. Johnny Lipsker is a freak been spinnin 10's both ways for years now some of the sickest grabs out as well. Jodan definately an up and coming superstar!

As for the North american riders their edits do the talking sooooo sick! Mattys my boy done so many seasons with him LOVES his skiing and froths out a generally super stoked kid who has been toying with this idea ever since we lived in house 922 back in fernie! trust me kids mattys done the ground work samples r looking sick! sick pass holders air vents etc. Im all fizzed up bout this proud of you Matty dawg! word fizz froth and foam up people go Nine 22 GO! yeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww!

What is shipping to the states supposed to be? I'm in NY and It's saying 30$ for a 60$ hoodie. I can't pay that.
 
Yeh it is a street address. I personally say Nine twenty two, but I think it works however you say it!!

Yeh unfortunately at the moment shipping is set at $30 for hoods and $25 for crews to the states. Bear in mind we are shipping from Australia, and it costs me $35 to send the middle sized hoodie. Working on organising some cheaper shipping, but that is pretty much what it is at the moment. It's only $15 or so more than you would pay if I was in the states. Sorry people, I will do my best to try knock it down!
