which do u recomend? im not super into photography or anything, just looking for a good all around camera

what are their key differneces?

i shoot a d40 it's awesome
some say the mega pixels are to low
but it's fine for anything an am photographer would need
but if it's still a problem get the D40X

I hate when people base their decision on megapixels. If you don't know enough about them to decide otherwise, you shouldn't be getting a camera like this.

Let's see, they are pretty much the same cam except the D60 shoots 3fps as apposed to 2.5 and has more megapixels. Also the D60 has full range of lenses when the D40 cannot use them all.

oh yeah definitely i have the D40 and it shoots amazing shots and has a bunch of different setting to work with, you wont regret getting it

You don't need all those "settings", just take a day and learn how to use your camera properly and how to use manual.

I know that this is pretty much common sense, but just shop around and see what kind of deals you can come across. I just received my D60 w/ 18-55mm lens today which I bought for $550 SHIPPED BRAND NEW through a vendor off of amazon (sorry I guess they have no more left). What I am saying is that it IS possible to come up with great deals on better cameras which obviously makes them a better value, just shop around.
