Nikon d3300 Vs Canon t5i

Well I'm looking to get a dslr camera to do some filming and photography, I've looked at many cameras and my and intrest has narrowed me down to either the Nikon D3300, Or the Canon t5i. lmk if you have any experiences with these cameras and your input!
 
My only input is that if you're going to buy the T5i you might as well buy a T3i and save the extra money for some better glass.

It's not actually 1080p, it's upscaled 720p. I think it's somewhere around 800p to be exact. The difference is much smaller than you think. but that's a fine choice, have fun

I've got a d3200. its treated me well and I've gotten some good quality show with it. came with a crappy sense though so that had to be replaced.

crappy lens* also sound quality is pretty aful
 
This might be too late, but consider the m43 format. The GH series are far better when it comes to video. Get a GH2 and hack the firmware, best value performance vise imo.
