i just recently saw a photo of louie vito and he has a pair of snowboard boots on and the brand is nike.

wtf...is nike starting to make all snowboarding gear these days? they shouldnt.

True, but much more money for the industry, plus, i would be suprised if they started making ski boots, its a whole different league.

did this work?

just wondering but how did u come across a pic of a snowboarder and how did u know who it was

they look dope. but i dont know why Nike is trying to get into snowboarding. well other than the money. I dont think it will go far.

Nike is still around in skateboarding. You have the haters and stuff, but the nike SB line makes money. Sneakerheads love the limited edition SB shoes and stuff. Especially the dunks. The fact the snowboard boots look like dunks is DOPE!!!!!. Honestly, im wondering what took them so long? I know nike made some outerwear once, or do they still do. It was called nike acg or something.

I don't know how well the boots will do but their outwear is dope. I have a pair of their blue ACG pants and they are warm and comfy and kept me dry all season. I don't see how nike could make a ski boot although those nike snowboard boots look real legit.

No they didn't. They failed on numerous occasions launching into skateboarding. It finally took an initiative to place limited high end Dunks sneakers into the high priced boutique skate shops and shit took off like wildfire. They introduced 6.0 not long after. This upcoming year marks their launch into snowboarding and people are biting on it. They will be very successful and they have the right people in-house watching over and controlling what they do.

One of the major shoe brands was a sub-brand of Nike, unknown to most people. I think it was Savier but could be someone else.

nike had a sick team of skaters back in the day. anybody who was anybody in the skating world wore nikes.

indeed. and if somebody's gonna start making boots, its not gonna be a small company like moment. boots are too much of an investment, with all the different sizes and shells you need a big ass company to start making boots.
however, i'd still be really surprised if nike made boots

i think we need more small rider based companies but whatever there outerwear is dope, idk many people that are gunna buy those snowboard boots.. prolly a lot of posers

BWahahahahahahahahaa the addias ones are just like the shoes. shit...they cant come up with any new ideas? hahahahhahahahahahaah

Nike won't help the snowboarding industry, if anything it'd just shut down the smaller companies that are trying to make it.

personally, i hate it when big companies like nike and underarmour get involved with us.. they are just trying to show off the fact that they think they can master making shit for every sport.

IMO, big companies should leave us (extreme sports) fuckin alone.

im cool with nike 6 tho. its not a direct link to our sport

i think nike should have stuck with the roots on what they were made from. sports, not extreme sports. there is no doubt they are doing it for more money. not like they dont have money enough. but oh well. some greedy people in businesses like that. i dont know if they will get real big in the ski/snowboard world. i use to have a jacket from nike that was for the snow. and it was not all that great looking. . .

yo nike's already been in skiing for a few years now, but through their ACG deal, and they sponsor one of the best skiers at the moment, Andreas Hatveit...and their shit is pretttyy siick. i really don't understand why it's such a huge deal that they're trying to enter the snow sports world with boots now. i think it's dope personally, i mean they started in skateboarding and i remember a bunch of people were skeptical but now pretty much everyone is down with nike sb and 6.0, and i can't think of a skate shoes company that's went under because of nike's new involvement with skating. so yea...not really a bad thing if it turns out like it did with skating.
