today i was in a local skate and snowboard shop and i noticed they had some nike snowboard boots,

how long will it be until nike makes ski boots, and if/ when they do would you wear them?

I would probably expect a 6.0 ski boot either next season or the one after.

Would i ride it? If it fit better than anything else, maybe.

yeah but i bet if nike entered the market it would be with rebranded spk's or some other already proven shell design... in which case, i'd be down to rock the swoosh as long as it didn't add 50 bucks to the price of the boot or something.

why support a brand that is just jumping into an industry where they have no history, no knowledge, and no real passion for the sport? nike is just jumping into the market because they see it as a money making venture.

id never ride a nike ski boot, atleast the snowboard boots kinda translate over from shoes.

i would totally rock a nike ski boot...assuming it fit good and performed good cause nike is a sick brand idc if tehre not "core" and would make a solid product

watch nike hop into the ski industry and just dominate everything. I guess since its Nike, freeskiing would get more exposure but the other companies would die. So it'd be good and bad ya know?

if the fit was better than my langes i would. im not gonna boycott a good brand just because they're big.

I dont know.. Nike ACG has some pretty freakin appealing outerwear.

Besides.. Nike isnt the only company out there who's stuff is made in a sweatshop in china, or southeast asia..

shit's fucked for everyone.

I'm not saying they don't have appealing stuff, I'm with you on that. I'm also aware that many (if not almost all) companies have moved their factories over seas. I just think nike's lame and I don't want to be associated with them.

i dig nike skate shoes theyre sick and teh 6.0 teams pretty good but if they start making ski boots im gonna stay away. they have no experience in skiing and are just trying to make a few extra bucks they dont really have any passion for it like Line or Rossignol etc etc. so no i would deff not wear them. but those look sick haha

nike won't enter the ski boot market. unlike snowboard boots ski boots are expensive as shit to produce. don't quote me on it but you're looking at something like $100,000 per mold and that's per size.

if you launch a couple different boot models, you're into several million and there's no guarantee that it will be successful. lots of bootfitters wouldn't even go near a nike boot.

I'm definitely not down witn under armour...

last thing I want is to see some crazy fuck going WE MUST PROTECT THIS MOUNTAIN! or something haha.

Nike ski boots would be ridiculous. Snowboard boots are a more natural transition for Nike because they're more like regular boots anyways.
