NIKE ski boot

I heard they were also planning on making a white with red swoosh? like the last season hot doggers. possible that tom may drop FT and go over to nike, I mean there would probably be more money in Nike than FT and with Nike having next to no experience in the ski boot industry tom would quickly get the exact boot he wants?

It'd be really nice if Nike would kick the ski boot industry in the ass by innovating, but that's about the only contribution I'm excited about from them.
 
You wouldn't want events and exposure like that for skiing? Afraid they will steal business from the "core" boot companies like, oh wait, there aren't any.
 
Why do you think Tom would sign with Nike. He has not done so far so why suddenly switch. Nike has sponsored skiers for years, and I did not notice anything negative. The old Nike ACG outerwear was awsome.

Nikes involment in the industry is nothing new and I think its funny kids are getting scared, that they will lose there small core brands. It hasnt happened so far why would things change?
 
^ your missing my point, Nike has sponsored skiers and been involved with the sport for years. Nothing is changing all they are doing is bringing out a new product, which if it works out could change how ski boots are made for ever (I know this is highly unlikely, but its possible). Nike helping skiers is not a new thing and I would ask you to find one bad aspect of them being in our sport from the last half decade.
 
Very true, But Nike is one of the biggest shoe brands in the world and has also got experience making Snowboard boots. So chances are they will make something awesome. I still fail to see how its a bad thing, if they produce an awesome boot it could shake up all the other brands to make something in response. Really there hasn't been a truly different park boot, since the SPK came out 6 years ago, so I think its time for something new.

Oh look another mainstream company trying to get into skiing. They may make dope ski boots but im so skeptical. These boots will probably be around 700-900$. Fuck That, and as far as the boots look, no. They look like Nordicas or Langes.

the bottom line is, if nike comes in to the ski industry and makes really good quality good performing boots, fuck yea id give em a shot. Same with skis and all the other junk. I personally don't care what company im supporting or not, I want good quality and good performing equipment, at the cheapest price as possible at this point in my life. If nike made a boot that was comparable to lets say nordica fire arrow f1 (i want those haha) , at 3/4 of the price dam straight id buy them. Skiing is an untapped market in the same sense burton is the power house it is in the snowboarding world.
 
My uncles sisters boyfriends landlords cousins bosses wifes brother in-law who works for nike says they will be available for the 2017/2018 winter season!
 
This, not hating on Nike but Nike has its place and it doesn't belong in the ski industry. I would much sooner buy from a company that was started to make skiing products, not from fucking Nike.

It would be sad if in the next few years jock skier kids were getting their custom Nike boots made and shipped from Vietnam.
 
I wish i had gotten to this thread much more earlier. I know a mechanical engineer who has worked for Nike for 20 years. He is one of the head product designers and works at Nike town in Oregon. I was talking too him about this subject and Nike has looked into the idea but wasn't interested in releasing a ski boot any time soon. He said there was some issues, and Nike will still investigate future equipment designs and products. So maybe but i really doubt it. Maybe not today but maybe in a couple years.

This was all just an aprils fool. But could sure be cool if they started getting into the skiing industry with boots or even skis.

Second, design sucks bad.

Third, aren't you guys happy with your SPKs or Full Tilts, I mean, a real hard shoe with buckles ?

first off that boot looks exactly like the nike vapen snow board boot (pictured below) with a shopped strap and toe/heel pieces. The the ski boot at the top looks like the Rossignol All Track ski boot. well the hike/ski mechanism
