Nike SB's are no longer going to be made...

So my old nikes were beat to hell. Sooo i go to get some new SB's so i go to pac-sun and find out they arent selling shoes anymore so i decide to go to shenk and tittle they always have nikes but no they didnt so i decided before i ordered some online id check at footlocker and finish line. I go to finish line and ask if they have any SB's and the guy told me that they were no longer made because nike couldnt sell them. So i went home and ordered 2 pairs so i would have them because SB's are the most comfortable shoe IMO.

So everyone should stock up these will be collectors shoes in like a few months..
 
im pretty sure this guys info was legit. He showed me his nike catalog and it had the 6.0's but no sign of the SB line. He said that nike decided to put more effort into the dunks and 6.0s instead of the SB's. He also showed me their new Nyx line which contains elements of SB's and regular nikes so they are like a "hybrid" shoe.
 
I took some pictures with photobooth because I was going to sell a couple pairs last month, so I'm turning this into a post your dunks thread. Great.

ok...this is false. first and formost Nike sb and nike 6.0 are two different shoes. Nike sbs were never sold in a pac sun. Legit actual skate shops with Nike sb accounts sell Sbs. Plus I would have heard if Nike was going to stop producing them.(Know a shop owner that has ins at Nike) but the pac sun by me has been selling all there stock of shows off. for cheap
 
Ya this is most likely false. First of all Pac Sun never sold Nike SB they did sell Nike 6.0 which are totally different. Second of all Pac Sun could never even try to sell SBs because you must obtain a Nike SB account and Nike only gives accounts out to certain shops and you must actually sell skateboards to be considered. Third Nike SB's are hot shit. People buy Sb's because they are usually unique and different from other skate shoes. Fourthly I'm sure those Hypebeasts out there would freak out if Nike ever ended the SB line. You should really find sources before you post something that could be misleading.
 
Why thank you. I was going to sell them to a friend so I wasn't too concerned with them being dirty. They look better worn out anyways.
 
yea im gonna have to say, i live by huntington beach, and i was in Jacks surf shop, Huntington beach surf and sport, Dank, and Sakal skate/surf, and they all had SB's except for dank, which is surf specific. And they had ALOT of them, jacks has a wall of just nike sb's and a couple other types.
 
Okay so let me put it this way.I took pictures of the shoes because I was going to sell them to a friend. My friend does not care if they are worn, she actually wanted them that way. My friend spent all her money on trees so she did not buy them. There are no holes in them. I am not trying to sell them any longer.That's it and that's all.
 
I wash my aqua chalks from time-to-time but my mids will never see the inside of a maytag. I think they look 100x better the way they are, they have character.

No, your a fucking idiot, nike obviously isn't their sb line anytime soon. Do you know how many shops are dying to be able to get an SB account. SB's have to be one of nike's most popular line. They have never been sold in footlocker or pacsun. The shoes cost next to nothing to be made and are sold from anywhere to thousands of dollars for a pair. If they were no longer going to be made I'm pretty sure they would mention it on nikesb.org, a site devoted to sb's thats updated daily or any of the many other sneaker blogs that are updated multiple times daily. And I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have a Nike Sb line for Spring 09. And 6.0's are the ugliest shoes ever.

Dude, seriously. Your gonna believe some shit that some guy at footlocker tells you. Sb's are only sold to shops that are ridiculously nice and have a lot of money. My "local" shop Can't get Sb's and it's one of the nicest skate shops in the midwest. PacSun doesn't sell SB's. They aren't just gonna throw away their team and all their production. Sb's are here to stay.
 
Finally someone knows their shit. Nike SB will not die for a long time that's for sure. Ask any skate shop who sells SB they will most likely say their best selling brand of shoes are the SB line.. Ask any hypebeast who will pay thousands for a pair that cost Nike pennies to make. Don't believe everything your told. Also Finishline would never be able to get their hands on a SB catalog. They already have most of their 09 line leaked on the web meaning their probably a year or two ahead.

and judging from the pics of whats upcoming, nike does not in any way seem to be letting the blazer sb die anytime soon. seems to be the new dunk. simple colorways and suede/nubuck, its what the sb was built on, recall the days of wheat forbes n ginos.

what are we in, gold boxes now? i gave up after the black/purple ones started showing up, but looks like shit is on the rise again, some nice looking colorways coming up next year.

and pacsun? really? i know sb has certainly lost much of its exclusivity as of late, but you gotta have at least SOME faith in the program. getting an account still aint all that easy, so regardless of their popularity (which, in my opinion, has already peaked), theyre not going to be found at your local sporting goods store next to the hockey pads and camping equipment.

theyre still skateboarding shoes, and i must commend them for staying true to that. theyve put together a real solid team (dan murphy anyone? what about gino FUCKING iannucci?!), and fuckit, they aint goin nowhere.

god damn i fucking hope they would stop i havent worn nike in months because they have gotten so generic and overused by dumb little gay ass prick trend follower steeze biter d-bags who say " oooh dude check out my dank nike's duuude they are soo bright colored" "yeah i just got them cause i saw that cool kid in our school wearing them" and they arent even that great of a shoe comfortable and quality wise everyone just wears them because they are popluar and they think they sshoulld even though they dont think for themselves and get the shoes they really like cause the are scared of being different
 
Their team is so fucking stacked. Omar Salazar is the man. The also got Stefan, Supa, Wieger, Todd Jordan, and Lewis Marnell which is ridiculous. Nike SB is a force to be reckoned with in the skateboarding industry. They aren't the old SB they used to be but they still will keep pumping out sick shoes for years to come.
 
I have a feeling that this is all just a marketing strategy. Nike will let this go on for another month and then just miraculously "change their mind" and continue making sb's. Don't be fooled kids.
