Make a Max AIR shoe for Jon, I'd buy it. Max AIR is their best line by far.

What I hope happens is they don't expolit skiing and whore it up. We'll see how it turns out. But I wouldn't ever buy a Nike jacket over Orage or Siver.

i dont no y every one would b against nike coming into the world of skiing.. for a few reasons, 1) money, big companies like that draw attention n brings in big money. 2) tv time, a big company like that would get events on espn n stuff. 3) if nike comes into the sport many more people will b involved(more ppl will have an intrest in the sport)

That would suck if nike got into the sport becuase they would put a corporate face on on something so pure. And when big business get into new things like newschool skiing then it usually dies out worse then before they came.

dude, everyone freaked out when nike entered golf. i told everyone i would never buy that shit because they had no idea what they were getting into. but nikes got the buck to sponsor big name athletes, and when tiger switched from legendary titleist to nike, everyone began to buy nikes product. now nike is a mainstay in golf. as soon as tanner or seth switches to nike for the cash, we will all be wearing swoosh gansta steeze. its enevitable. big money = big sales

please god no, not nike. personally i think it would ruin the sport. part of the reason i freestlye ski is because most people dont, and most people only care about snowboarding. thats fine with me, i like being sort of underground, nike would just turn skiing into a fad

fuck nike and fuck every one who thinks it would be good for the sport i love skiing and i want to see it evolve yes i do but i don't want it to evolve for big buisness do you like armada do you like liberty 4 frnt ect............ why the fuck do you think they became independet? do you think they liked the way that adidas was running salomon? or how skis were progressing? prime example the thall pro model is a revolutionary idea. how about you think about what the fuck your talking about sure it brings money and coverage and all that good stuff but at what cost? tanner goes to nike armada has the possibility of going away and don't think that they won't because he is there only competitor besides tj and tj hasn't made as big of name as tanner you talk about skiing to outsiders alot of them know tanner hall. And as for quiksilver i see them more or less not getting to involved with rossi but i'll see how that goes depends on what happens because rossi is pretty as long as they progess they're stuff and quiksilver stay out of a lot of there buisness i good and btw quiksilver makes cloths so its not like ther brand new into the sport they've already contributed to me nike represents everything that skiing isn't.

You, my friend, are an idiot. It bothers me when people speak lacking the knowledge required in order to have a legitamate opinion. What I want every Nike Skateboard skeptic to do right now is hit up www.ebay.com, search for "Nike Dunk SB" and tell me that Nike made a bad decision by entering the Skateboard industry. With the right leadership and marketing, Nike made a breakthrough with their Skateboard or "SB" line which feature ZOOM air inserts in all SB footbeds. They are currently releasing limited Dunk styles that sell on eBay for hundreds based on their rarity. In fact, I purchased a pair of "Oompa" edition Dunks for $90.00 at a local skateshop (with an exclusive SB account) and re-sold them on eBay for roughly $140.00 last week (and I've been reselling since these shoes started becoming so hot). Nike knows what their doing in the shoe industry.

As far as skiing goes, I agree, that a company like Nike would be hounded and ragged on just like the rest of the massive corportations within the ski industry. I'll give credit where credit is due and say that Salomon DID help begin the newschool movement with the introduction of the 1080 ski, but it's time for big business to step aside and let these progressive, core companied take over.

The thing is in skiing we always prefer small brands that have smaller shipments and are rider driven, because we think theyre cooler anyway. AKA armada and Line etc.

So nobodies going to stop buying those just because nike sponsors tanner or some shit...

The great thing about skiing is that we can go anywhere, If nike moves in and parks start to get packed with jackasses we'll just move to the backcountry and urban areas. Remember any one can go to the park but people who really love what they are doing will take the time to get away from it all and build a backcountry hit.

 
Nike probably would not be so stupid as to enter the skiing market under the Nike name. They would likely either buy out an existing company, or create a subdivision under a new name (ie: toyota --> lexus, volkswagon --> audi). Then they'd have a chance of doing well.

The reason why nike works in sports it doesnt belong is because of posersbuying the shit. You never buy equipment becuase a pro is using it. They are getting paid.

I dont agree with Nike coming into the sport though it is probly inevitable. Will it ruin the sport no, but it will take it in a direction i would not like!!

You guys make it sound like you'll hang up your skis if Nike decides that skiing will be its next marketing ploy, that you'll give up skiing all together because at that point, it has become "trendy". It's almost like when people stop listening to certain types of music because bands have supposedly "sold out" by doing Pepsi commercials and such.

I ski because I love it. And I will ski regardless of who is doing it, who is making equipment, and who says it's the coolest thing to be doing. Quit bitching you guys. Go fucking ski.
