.... at about 1030 at Keystone today they bought out the jump line just so they could have a photoshoot and wouldn't let any of the public hit the jumps, i think its kinda really lame....
 
they bought out the jump line....im sure if u bought it out u woudnt want people u didnt know on it either
 
First off "The people at Nike 6.0 are jerks" would be best. And thats generally how photoshoots work. Welcome to Park City.
 
You don't like seeing wicked video's of skiing? I sure as hell do. And alot of them wouldn't exist if there was no such thing as private shoots.
 
hint. there buddy. they "bought" it for a day. if you had a private birthday party at the zoo wouldent you only want you and your guests to be the only ones to be able to ride on the elephants and rino's that day? dont lie to me either.
 
I'd rather ski, thanks, instead of watching Hatveit spin until his insides are blended together from through the trees.

its cool that mountains will do that. Its to preserve the jumps from joeys coming and causing a second dresden to the landings.
 
Because they're all VIP and you can't get within like a mile of the pro athletes haha! Don't want to get them unfocused!

well obviously some people took the title a little to seriously but its the intraweb....

anyways i just think its really lame to buy out a jump line, especially on the weekend and when it just opens... i got to ride it for about an hour, sure seeing the footy is sick, but if you're gunna have a private shoot why not just do it when the resort is super crowded during the middle of the day... money is everything i guess...
 
a couple weeks ago on a thursday, helly was having a photoshoot, but they did reserve anything, it was fun hitting the same stuff they were.
 
6.0 is not a jerk the rich people who bought it out are , but i guarentee after a couple of hours if you talked to some of the people they would let you take a couple

it sounds like keystone is following in the shoes of northstar and park city and priotizing photoshoots over real skiers and riders. thats too bad. most photoshoots are take place after mtns close and not on a weekend in december right after the jumps have opened for the first time all year.
 
i guess this is a pretty uneducated question, but then again, all questions are uneducated...

i dont get how you can buy a jump. if i buy a lift ticket, and possibly a park pass how can they close off a jump for private use?
 
thats not that bad dude.  last year at northstar the pipe was closed at 10am everyday for five days so that shaun white, and only shaun white could take one run at night.  now thats gay.
 
it's all business! whats better for a mountain then to have an epic shot in a magazine? it's advertising they are getting paid for. sounds like a good business situation to me
 
I would be pissed if I bought a lift ticket for the park that day and found the jumps closed without notification. If you have a pass, I guess you have to deal with it.
 
see it like this, they pay the park a lot more money then yoour wallet will ever contain, and all tht money is going to the park, so tht means new structures and shit, so be happy for it + your park will be on video !
 
half the park at louis was closed for a snowboard comp on saturday, does that make snowboarders jerks too?
 
I think that the 6.0 is pretty sweet, I like the shoe line-up. So what, you could not hit the jumps for a day, yea it sucks but thats just life. They paid money to hit it so they should be able to use it for themselves. If anything, that should have been cool to watch those big names like Sammy C hit the jumps right in fromt of you! Take some of your own pics!!
 
give them a break they are trying to shoot for something and what better then nike which is possable going to be bring some money into the sport
