Night Trains vs Mr. Pollard's Opus (for a girl)

So, I know this topic is on here a million times, but most threads are for bigger guys. I'm a lady skier, 5'9 120 lbs and I just want to make sure these skis aren't an overkill for me... Right now I own an old pair of surface live lifes and armada ARGs. I'm looking for a replacement for my live lifes that is more powder and jib orientated. About my skiing style: live in SLC so I ski regularly, love to hit smaller cliffs (5-15 ft), obviously love powder, no park, short touring trips around LCC and BCC. I'd probably put a touring set up on the ski... I know the night train is a stiffer, more stable and the opus is softer, maybe more playful. Any lady skiers have experience with either of these skis? Any other suggestions for skis I should consider?

Also, anyone know of places in SLC/park city area with moment demos?? I can't seem to find a demo shop that carries the night train...

Thanks!

I'm no lady, but I believe that the Moments are significantly lighter, which would make them an ideal touring choice. Also, don't under think their playfulness. They feel rather similar to Bentchetlers IMO

At 120lb I think you would be really happy on the Line Bacon, or Atomic Blog. The blog being damper, the bacon having more pop. Both nice and butter.

If you want a wider ski I would focus on the Opus. While it hand flexes very soft, It is surprisingly stable. The Atomic Bentchetler would be worth a gander as well. Stiffer than the Opus, but still light and nimble. Might also be worth a look at a ON3P Caylor light. Send me a pm about additional options.

Oh and skier gal interested in 5-15 ft drops, skiing powder, and short tours? 22/M/Seattle...[/i]

My friend is 5'1" or so, and she's skiing on 168 Night Trains and absolutely loves them. You could pm her, and I'll link her to the thread. Her NS is annex_

my sister is 5'10" and she shreds the night train 186 and she loves them she loves to even take them on groomers since they have zero camber they can still carve. the amount of rocker is immense so going for a longer size is better. they are a medium flex very stable yet playful

wazzzzzup yo. i'm 5'1, 125lbs, ride some 168 night trains. I love these skis. The night trains are definitely gonna be much stiffer. I've heard though that the longer lengths are pretty much 2 by4's , but i love them, they're so much fun. Definitely really only a powder ski though. Can't say anything about touring.
