Nicotine sucks

hey guys im a week free of nicotine (quitting cuz i told my pops who recently passed away i would) and have lost all motivation to do things I love. Skiing, lifting, music, all that I just have no motivation and I feel so stressed. Any tips from tha NS gang?
 
Never had a nic addiction but I’d say just find a hobby and stick with it, maybe even a new hobby. So sorry to hear that your father passed. Much love g don’t give up

Used to vape and then hit multiple chops every day for a while. One day I just decided not to buy any more pods/tob and never looked back. Was fiending for a nice rip of nic for about a week but it subsided after that and by 2 weeks it was fairly easy to not rip any nic even if someone had a vape and offered. For that first week I just thought about how nice it was not to have a permanent cough and how much money I was saving

that was about a year ago

Recently I hit someone’s vape and while it was like I remembered I don’t like it near as much as I used to when I started so I have no inclination to buy any
 
yea i've been smoking cigs. I go on and off but I need a break too. When I quit I just get super hungry and instead of eating shit I just munch on veggies and appreciate how much better I can breath. That and switch to cock.
 
I mean I think it’s hard because they’re legal. Like cocaine and Oxys are way more expensive and have the risk of jail time. Drinking beers always makes me crave cigs

Anytime you're craving Nic get out and ski, or lift, find a healthy habit to replace it with and you'll learn to love those things again

Im pretty sure about 90% of the people hooked on cigs started from drinking.
 
cutting back on smoking spliffs and cutting it out entirely is helping me kick nicotine, I still have a little vape to hit from time to time but yeah, not smelling and feeling like shit is the biggest takeaway.....Plus you get super baked at night after work or school when you want to relax.
 
i quit vaping 3 weeks ago, since then i've gained weight for the first time in 10 years, haven't been able to sleep properly and developed a rash on my ears. it sounds fuckin weird and i always feel like i'm missing something, especially in social situations. but i know it will be worth it in the end when i don't have to spend money on it and have to sneak away from family gatherings to get a hit.
 
I'm hearing that vaping is much worse than actual tobacco? Is that true?

I've never had an issue quitting smoking besides the fact that I get super hungry and possibly gain a little weight. But i counteract it with exercise.

i mean it could be but vaping is still so new that there's no solid research on it.

i've killed a pack of cigarettes during a night of drinking and done the same with constant vaping. i can confidently say i felt worse after the cigarettes.

i'm recovering from a surgery at the moment and saw it as an opportunity to try quitting and i think it's worked so far. i feel like i'm killing 2 birds with one stone with the physio.
 
Yea we all know cigarettes kill you but i think the jury is still out on vaping. It seems like it's less natural than tobacco so possibly thats where the rash is coming from?

i've had issues with eczema before just never on my ears. it started right around i started to quit so it could totally be from the vaping or just coincidence.
 
Yea i never got into vaping but a lot of my friends do it. I don't think i've ever even tried vaping tbh. I smoke those marijuana oil pens and even those I don't like compared to real bud.

Dabs/Oil Rigs are the worst. The first time I saw someone fire up a literal blowtorch in their living room and get ripped off their mind I knew it was a bad idea. It was like, "Bro holy fuck what if you burn down the apartment building!?!"

ya dude thats my big problem too, Used to be a super fat POS and quitting ang putting the pounds back on is jsut scary. But breathing is pretty important so always worth.
 
Chantix. My boss went from 2 packs a day to 10 days of chantix and puking to not a single cig or craving again.

Light blue american spirits, but I try to hold back and only go for one or two a day on the occasion I have a pack.

Also bought some nasty ass vape today in attempts to ween myself off chain smoking xtras all day. That’s kinda helped in the past so we’ll see how that goes. Just so tired of blowing all my money on something so pointless. Might be due for another acid trip.
 
Stress. Stress brings out and worsens what was already there. Stress has been the biggest hit to my medical well being, and negating that stress has been the cause of biggest improvement.
